Deadlines
Be very aware of SFSU deadlines!◦ Drop: only 2 weeks into semester: Sept 4
Drop on your Student Center Instructor is NOT responsible for dropping you
◦ Add: 4 weeks into semester: Sept 21 Use permission number procured from instructor Instructor cannot add you If class is “full” go to the first day of class; be an advocate for yourself! If the
class is on your Graduation Plan, it may only be offered then and you must have it that semester.
◦ CR/NC: Oct 19 Need at least a C- for CR; NC does not hurt GPA Use this if no documentation to withdraw Request on your Student Center Instructor cannot do this for you Note: Letter grade required for all major courses, not CR
◦ Withdrawal deadlines: Nov 20; Dec 16 Needs instructor, dept chair, and college dean signatures Needs documentation for serious and compelling reason

Apply for Scholarships: ◦ Bookstore $100 credit, Stonestown, Sarah Josef
Check your registration through your Student Center◦ ALWAYS check your registration after making any changes and BEFORE deadlines to be sure
you are registered properly for your classes.
◦ Protect your GPA
Communicate with instructors/email◦ Go to first day of class (crash) if can’t get class◦ If registered and you don’t attend 1st day of class, you may be dropped◦ See your advisor every semester to update Plan. There may be changes. You may need updated Advising/Graduation Plan on first day of classes. The
dept office will scan and email plan to you.
