Consultation for the 2018/19 H2020 Space Calls Horizon 2020 is the European Union's programme for funding research and development and one of the key industry sectors targeted for growth is space. Covering both upstream and downstream applications as well as space science, the Horizon 2020 programme funds yearly calls against pre-defined topics. Organisations from across Europe are encouraged to collaborate on and submit proposals of their solutions and concepts to these calls. This year the process of selecting the themes and topics for the 2018 and 2019 calls will begin, and the UK Space Agency (the UK representative on the EC's Space Programme Committee) and Innovate UK (the National Contact Point for Space) would like the input of the UK space sector for which priorities and topics should be included. Please use this survey to tell us where you think the UK priorities should be and provide examples of the topics you would like to see or think are important. Please provide as much or as little information as you like, as all contributions will be taken into account when building up the UK's agenda for the upcoming call negotiations with the European Commission.

The topics and themes in the space area of Horizon 2020 are based on the four pillars shown in the diagram above. These four areas have been highlighted as priorities for the space sector but for this consultation we welcome ideas on any space theme.

Over the next four pages (one for each area) please provide us with information on the priorities and topics you would like to see in future Horizon 2020 space calls. Please feel free to skip pages that are not relevant to you.
