2. Job Content

Summary of Job Purpose Use your consulting skills to work with clients in project teams through all stages of transformation projects. Consult with clients to identify, clarify, and solve complex issues critical to clients’ success by preparing for and conducting interviews, gathering required data and executing analyses, identifying issues and recommending approaches to address them, presenting facts in meetings and serving as an effective support resource to team in client meetings

Key Accountabilities:

1. Consulting Engagement Execution

o Participates in solving of challenging client problems in a team or individual setup

o Identifies critical aspects of the engagement, contributes to data gathering and

applies relevant tools, methodologies and techniques to support problem solving

o Adapts as required to dynamically changed client environment

o Formulates, articulates and prioritizes key conclusions

o Develops comprehensive set of sound recommendations

o Presents engagement outcome to client

2. Thought Leadership

o Conducts research on the market and industry trends

o Contributes to development of new CBC service offerings

o Co-authors articles/whitepapers that demonstrate thought leadership

o Assists in building Knowledge artifacts

3. Practice Development

o Acts as mentor/ buddy for new joiners and help familiarize with Cognizant facilities,

CBC environment, work culture etc.

o Creates/Reviews training material/modules

o Actively shares knowledge and provides guidance within the team and beyond

o Assists in recruitment activities

o Contributes to internal process improvements

4. Engagement Selling

o Contributes to pre-sales activities

o Works as a team member in developing proposals and presentations

o Contributes to RFPs/RFIs and recommends value proposition

o Prepares and reviews client presentations

o Proactively identifies opportunities for existing and potential clients

5. Job Requirements

Key Competencies: Consulting skills: problem-solving and strategic planning, recommendation development, commercial awareness and understanding of business environments, stakeholder analysis, research know-how (desk research, interviews and surveys), consulting tools and techniques (ABC Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, Porter’s 5 Forces, SWOT and etc.), modelling techniques (BPMN, UML, etc.), etc.

Project Management skills: understanding of basic project management concepts (incl. project planning, controlling), basic experience of working in virtual teams and onsite/offshore models, risk management

Business development skills: ability to identify new opportunities, contribute to proposals

IT skills: basic technology understanding, IT exposure, understanding of key technology trends

Communication skills: effective communication, ability to structure, write and deliver presentations and other reports in business English and German

Personal skills: creativity and innovation, analytical mind-set, flexibility, ability to cope with pressure and challenges, proactive thinker, team player, excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism and high ethics

Knowledge: Life Science Industry: prior participation in Life Science engagements, such as: Clinical Development, Supply Chain/Manufacturing, Commercial Operations

Experience: Service Offerings (any of the following): Business Requirements Management & Analysis, Digital Transformation, Organizational Change Management, Business Driven IT Strategy, Application Portfolio Optimization, IT Organization & Performance Model, IT Sourcing, IT Cost Optimization

Qualifications: Education: ideal - combined Business & IT education, MBA, PhD; Minimum: BSc in Management and/or IT

Certifications (desired but not mandatory): Scrum, PRINCE2, PMI, Six Sigma, IIBA, etc.
