Consultant Marine Engineers

A major marine incident requires the urgent support of surveyors and consultant engineers to assist in assessing damage, ensuring safety and providing advice to involved parties quickly. A major casualty at sea stretches the resources of the most prepared of owners, managers and insurers both technically and operationally and thus the availability of high quality advice is an essential part of mitigating a loss and advising on subsequent claims.

At Charles Taylor Adjusting we offer marine engineering consultancy and survey services with the additional benefit of direct access to our team of insurance professionals. We are able to offer marine engineering advice with regard to loss mitigation, repairs and the requirements of the insurer in preparation for a claim. Our surveyors and consultants are experienced in a wide range of marine damages and are able to provide advice that can help in reducing out of service time, following a casualty, and assist in the claims process.

Our Consultant Marine Engineers all come from an engineering and sea-going background, having served on numerous vessel types within engineering departments. This resource enables our adjusters to become fully informed on the technical and practical nature of the claims that they are adjusting without delay.

We are able to attend casualties in order to conduct additional surveys if considered necessary. Through our extensive combined experience, we have knowledge of trusted local surveyors globally.
