Project Overview • Two health strategies:

1) Trauma-Informed Care 2) Early identification/ developmental screening and connection to services

• One in five children, between the ages of 0 to 5, is at-risk for developmental delays or behavioral problems

• Only with early detection and access to services can children experience the best outcomes in life

• Adoption of the national framework called Help Me Grow (HMG)

Project Overview Continued • Purpose: support the initial development of

the HMG framework specific to L.A. County

• Consultant will support, maintain and help guide efforts around 3 core objectives associated with HMG-LA framework development:

1) Develop and solidify HMG-LA leadership team and workgroup membership 2) Ensure appropriate partner engagement, communication and documentation to successfully implement project objectives 3) Facilitate the development of the HMG- LA core components

• Anticipated project period: July 15, 2016 – June 30, 2017

• Hourly budget - Per the Commission’s Policy and Guidelines for Hiring Consultants, the total composite rate for a consultant may not exceed $150-$200 an hour, depending on the type of service and commensurate with experience.
