SO WHICH ONE IS RIGHT FOR ME?

ZigBee offers these advantages:

• Open standard with interoperability between vendors

• Cloud Kit/X2e available

• Source Routing / Many-to-one routing

DigiMesh offers these advantages:

• Network setup is simpler

• Multiple frequencies available

• More flexibility to expand the network – No End Device / Router ratios to worry about

• Increased reliability in environments where routers may come and go due to interference or damage

WIFI / ZIGBEE COEXISTENCE

Test Results

o Communication stable at 100% (no packet loss)

o Maximum throughput drop at 18% - depends on number of hops in the network

o If any concern remains, note that 802.15.4 offers free channels not touched by WiFi (Channel 25/26 and

sometimes channel 15 and 20)

o Literally NO coexistence issues!

o If range is not as good as expected, the issue is the environment (walls, metal) at 95% of the cases!
