Connaught Place

This exclusive small development of just six lateral residences overlooking Hyde Park has opulent hand

crafted interiors complete with concierge services and offers a unique freehold acquisition opportunity.

Originally built in the early 19th century as a magnificent terrace of town houses that were influenced by

the Georgian and Regency periods, Connaught Place now forms part of a conservation area

and is protected by a Grade II listing.

The brickwork arches, stucco façades, wrought iron verandas and Doric columned porticos allude to an

eminent history, yet the dignity of the architecture maintains its relevance today.

From London’s historic and cultural heart, this prime property has been restored to its former splendour and

re-emerges for a distinguished debut. We are delighted to present Connaught Place, winner of the

Best Residential Renovation at the 2014 UK Property Awards.

The Regency Residence

John Nash was responsible for much of the layout of Regency London under the patronage of the Prince

Regent, later crowned George IV. Amongst his major commissions was the remodeling of Regent ’s

Park and the creation of Regent Street. Completed in 1826, this was the world’s first purpose-built street

dedicated to retailing with ‘shops appropriated to articles of fashion and taste’.

The elegant, sweeping street is home to one of the finest collections of international brands that

epitomise London’s truly cosmopolitan character. The Regency Residence enjoys the same philosophy

with a setting borne of British refinement and a temperament ready to embrace the future.

Design without compromiseThe Regency ResidenceInterior design and architectural specialists, 1508 London, have been appointed to create the magnificent and

inspirational interiors at Connaught Place. Their skills range from developing some of London’s most unique

properties, creating imaginative interiors for luxury developments, flawlessly integrating the old and new in

architectural refurbishments to commissioning bespoke furniture and contemporary art.

The rich Regency heritage has influenced the key design approach in the choice of materials, the generous

spatial arrangements, the preservation of high ceilings and retention of period details. The introduction of

contemporary features is sensitively balanced within the classic context to give rise to interiors that are both

glamorous and refined.

1508 London have designed some of the most distinguished and sumptuous homes currently available in

central London.

Name-checked by recording artists and filmmakers the world over for three

decades, Harris Grant has transformed the way sound and pictures are captured

and perfectly reproduced.

Under the direction of acoustician Neil Grant, this acclaimed design practice

has created an impressive portfolio of extraordinary audiovisual environments

for discerning clients in Europe, North America and the Far East.

The roots of Harris Grant lie firmly in the music and motion picture industries. In

1986, Grammy Award winning composer and performer Peter Gabriel engaged

Harris Grant to oversee the architectural, acoustic and technical design of Real

World Studios in the west of England. The birthplace of countless hit records,

this audaciously-designed complex remains one of the world’s iconic music

recording spaces. Since then, Neil has fine-tuned the sound of studios, film

dubbing suites and concert halls on both sides of the Atlantic. And it ’s no

surprise that many of his commercial clients also engage Neil to oversee their

own home entertainment and IT systems.

Building on this internationally renowned professional audio heritage, Harris

Grant today brings the same spirit of excellence to discerning residential clients.

From home cinemas to the world’s most opulent super-yachts, every project

by Neil Grant fuses state-of-the-art technologies and materials with an innate

sense of luxury and craftsmanship.

The BriefRedrow London commissioned Harris Grant to specify and design technical

systems for Connaught Place that would reflect and support the aspirations

of its elite clientele. Redrow London’s brief was addressed with a state-of

the-art solution spanning media, networking and IT systems plus building

management and access control.

The SolutionEach of the residences offer high speed, extremely secure Internet access via

wired and wireless networks. Even if the owner wishes to conduct a video

conference with colleagues overseas, there’s plenty of spare bandwidth to

stream music and movies in High Definition at the same time.

Harris Grant has also provided each residence with a flexible, highly scalable

networking and control infrastructure. This allows other audiovisual, IT, lighting,

security and environmental systems to be seamlessly integrated in line with

clients’ own individual needs.

Innovation by appointment

World-leading acoustician and studio designer Neil Grant has added his unique creative signature to the audiovisual, IT and control systems to every residence in Connaught Place.

and the subtle variations in wood graining, each residence is

bespoke, unique and utterly exclusive.
