„Sustainability means fi nding economically and environmentally sound solutions that are also socially compatible. Technological progress toward electromobility faces the challenge of taking these factors into account. We are making good headway towards the mobility turnaround in Baden-Württemberg and now play a vanguard role at the national level with leading-edge cluster Electric Mobility South-West and our Showcase Region for Electric Mobility. The e-mobil BW TECHNOLOGIETAG shows what we have accomplished already, but also provides an in-depth look at the opportunities and potential offered by electromobility. I wish all visitors as well as speakers and organizers a successful event and new insights and impulses.“ Winfried Kretschmann MdL, Minister-President of the State of Baden-Württemberg

„Research and development play a crucial role in the process of developing alternative power tech-nologies and new mobility models. Ongoing dialogue and effective networking among the various in-dustries involved are particularly important during the current market-preparation phase. The search for viable, future-oriented business models also demands effective cooperation among all those concerned. The WORLD OF ENERGY SOLUTIONS and especially the e-mobil BW TECHNOLOGIETAG provide effective support for the achievement of these goals and are evolving progressively into an internationally recognized industry gathering point.“ Prof. Dr. Henning Kagermann, President of acatech -

Deutsche Akademie der Technikwissenschaften and Director of the National Platform Electromobility

„Well-known for its innovative spirit and as a signifi cant centre of industry and automotive technology, Stuttgart offers an ideal setting for an event alliance devoted to a modern form of mobility. Stakeholders and experts will discuss technical developments and offer a look at future technologies. Electromobility will play a key role in efforts to achieve sustainable mobility in future. Electromobility from Baden-Württemberg can and will take up the thread of a great historical tradition here. Just as the patented Benz motor wagon provided the starting signal for the successful history of automotive engi-neering, the Showcase Region for Electric Mobility LivingLab BWe mobil will serve as a basis for the systematic develop-ment of showcase regions in support of nationwide electromobility. “ Matthias Wissmann, President of the VDA

„We have created a unique event alliance in Stuttgart with the WORLD OF ENERGY SOLUTIONS. The al-liance comprising f-cell, BATTERY+STORAGE and the e-mobil BW TECHNOLOGIETAG enables us to de-monstrate the system of electromobility, focus on key aspects along the entire value chain and address relevant target groups. We expect that this holistic approach will attract more visitors than ever this year. We are very pleased to note the strong response and are confi dent that we will be able to make a sustainable contribution to further progress toward electromobility through this event.I am pleased to welcome all visitors on behalf of e-mobil BW, and look forward to our discussions. I wish to thank everyone involved for their commitment and hard work.“ Franz Loogen, President of e-mobil BW GmbH –

e-mobil BW TECHNOLOGIETAG – Future Mobility Solutions

The e-mobil BW TECHNOLOGIETAG is an important industry gathering point and discussion forum for experts and decision-makers from the political, business and scientifi c communities. In keeping with this year’s keynote theme of “Future Mobility Solutions”, the conference programme features current information and trends relating to future mobility solutions and highlights technological developments within the context of key aspects of business and economic policy in Baden-Württemberg. Major focal points of the event are the Showcase Region for Electric Mobility “LivingLab BWe mobil” and the leading-edge cluster “Electric Mobility South-West”. www.e-mobilbw.de

f-cell – The fuel cell | 13th Forum for Producers and Users

Fuel cell and hydrogen experts from all over the world have gathered annually at the f-cell industry conference and trade fair for 13 years. Within the framework of the f-cell conference, German and international experts will report on recent advances and discuss the opportunities and potential of fuel cells and hydrogen for the energy turnaround. The conference is strongly oriented towards practical applications and covers a wide range of topics. Producers and users of fuel cells and hydrogen experts will be presenting new products and market trends at the trade fair. A number of accompanying events, including the presentation of the f-cell award, a Ride-and-Drive event, an excursion and seminars round out the programme. www.f-cell.de

BATTERY+STORAGE | International Trade Fair and Conference for Battery and Energy Storage Technologies

BATTERY+STORAGE is the fi rst comprehensive trade fair and conference event devoted to the production of mobile and stationary energy storage technology. The entire storage medium production value chain will be represented – from research and development to materials, battery and storage-system manufacturing to the fi nal product. Such matters as second-use and recycling technologies will also be covered at the exhibition. BATTERY+STORAGE addresses all players involved in the production of battery and energy-storage systems for mobile and stationary use – and for all fi elds of application, from photovoltaic technology to wind power to mobility. www.battery-storage.de

New in 2013: the Solar Energy Solutions Conference

Business executives and experts from the solar energy industry have been invited by the Solar Cluster Baden-Württemberg e.V. to present and discuss important research results, projects, business models and solar energy products at two conference sessions on Monday, 30 September 2013. Networking, storage media and intelligent energy management play a crucial role in successful system solutions. Solar Energy Solutions addresses all individuals, business enterprises and institutions that wish to contribute to promoting solar energy use in politics, industry, mid-sized businesses, research and education or to develop and/or expand their business in the fi eld. www.solarcluster-bw.de

Three events – a single theme of the future: BATTERY+STORAGE, f-cell and the e-mobil BW TECHNOLOGIETAG will be presented under a single roof for the second time in 2013 – and for the fi rst time under a common motto: WORLD OF ENERGY SOLUTIONS. The claim behind WORLD OF ENERGY SOLUTIONS refl ects the scope of the extensive programme offered within the framework of the trade fair and conference. The organizers plan to establish this platform as a central marketplace, industry driver and think tank for the development of battery and energy-storage technologies, fuel cell applications and innovations in the fi eld of electromobility.
