SHUL ANNOUNCEMENTS

As in past years, Rabbi Yosef Lasdun will be coming to Beth Aaron during the Aseret Yemei Teshuva to checktefillin and mezuzot. He will be at Beth Aaron this Monday, September 9; this Tuesday, September 10; and thisWednesday, September 11. There will be a box where tefillin and mezuzot can be left, and another box whereRabbi Lasdun will place those items that he has checked. Every effort will be made to provide same-dayservice. The cost is $60 per pair of tefillin and $7 per mezuzah (checks should be made out to CongregationBeth Aaron). This Tuesday, September 10, at 8:00 p.m., at the shul, Rabbi Baruch Simon, Rosh Yeshiva and popular magidshiur at RIETS, will be presenting a special shiur on "Yom Kippur which Falls on Shabbat." BETH AARON YOUTH This Shabbat, the Youth Department will be having a Shabbat Shuva Shmooze for all 1st-5th graders duringthe Rabbi's Shabbat Shuva Drasha. There will be learning, games, and snacks. All children should be broughtdownstairs immediately following Mincha and be picked up before Maariv. Decorate and Donuts! All children are invited to help decorate the shul sukkah on Sunday, September 15, from10:30 to 11:30 a.m. All participants also will be able to make an arts and crafts project for their home sukkahand enjoy Dunkin Donuts. The cost for this event is $5. Is your sukkah on our map? Announcing Sukkah Hops 5774. As in the past, we will behaving two sukkah hops. The Family Sukkah Hop for all children in second grade andyounger and their families will take place on the first day of Sukkot. __________________________________________ The Youth Department is once again delighted that Detective Frank and Mrs. Ruth Ferrara will oversee theyouth programs for the Yamim Noraim . As in previous years, there will be babysitting available (for childrenin Nursery-5th Grade only) from 10:00 a.m. until the end of shul each day of Rosh Hashana and on YomKippur. In addition, there will be babysitting for children in Nursery-5th Grade during Kol Nidrei and Ne'ilahon Yom Kippur. There will be a room set aside for children under the age of 3. Parents MUST remain with theirchildren in this room. A "Tefillah & Torah" program will be held for the nursery and kindergarten group on the first day of RoshHashana and on Yom Kippur and for the 3rd-5th grade group on both days of Rosh Hashana and on YomKippur. It will begin at 10:00 a.m. sharp and run for approximately 30-40 minutes. Once again, we ask that your children not bring balls to shul, as that does not set the proper tone for these holydays. We encourage children to come with books, cards, and games from home that they would enjoy playingwith during shul. Snacks and drinks will be provided throughout the youth program. A bagel lunch (nut- andseed-free) will be provided on Yom Kippur for all children in groups. If you would like to help sponsor the lunchprogram, please contact Mo-B Singer, [email protected]. Men willhave access to 13 preparation rooms, 2 express changing areas, and 3 mikvaot.
