MEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST CONTINUES IN JUNE Tuesday Mornings • 7am • Parish Hall Men’s Prayer Breakfast will continue their Spring schedule through Tuesday, June 30. Join them every Tuesday morning as they study the Epistle letters of St. Paul. The best breakfast in town is served for only $4. There is time for fellowship, study, and prayer. MY SISTER’S HOUSE DONATION BOX Have you been doing any spring cleaning? Why not take those gently used clothes, towels, and household goods and put them in the My Sister’s House donation box next to the church office. My Sister’s House is a transitional living facility for women and children in crisis. Please remember that donations must fit inside the box and nothing can be left outside the box. If you have a larger item that you would like to donate, you can call them at 747.4069.

BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA FLAG SALE Help support Boy Scout Troop 11 and your country by purchasing a new American Flag, made in the USA! Also, the Scouts will take your old, worn flags and give them a full official flag retirement ceremony with the Boy Scouts—one of the few non-military organizations permitted to retired United States Flags. Contact McCormick Emge at [email protected] or 843.901.0141. Proceeds will benefit all Troop 11 at Christ Church.

RITE II LEM TEAM LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS Are you interested in serving as a Lay Eucharistic Minister (read and/or chalice) at the Rite II service on Sunday mornings? If so, please contact Charlie Barnhill at 860.1751 or [email protected].

CHRIST CHURCH RECEIVES GRANT FROM EXCHANGE CLUB FOR MEALS ON WHEELS We are pleased to announce that Christ Church has once again received a grant from the Exchange Club of Charleston (which sponsors the Coastal Carolina Fair) for the Christ Church weekend meals program with Meals on Wheels! This grant will continue to help us provide food for hungry seniors in the East Cooper area.

Did you know that over the past year, Christ Church volunteers cooked and packages 13,600 meals for hungry seniors?! This is a great ministry in our parish, and we are always looking for folks to help out, especially for the pack-out, which happens in Porcher Hall from 8:30-10am on the first and third Saturdays of the month. CHRIST CHURCH IS GOING AND MAKING DISCIPLES

HAITI TRIP 2015 September 18-25 Is God calling you to go and make disciples in Haiti? Father Joe will be leading a team to La Gonave, Haiti to build relationships with our brothers and sisters there and partner with them both in offering a Vacation Bible School and in building desks and benches at the Church of the Holy Spirit and its parochial school. We will especially need team members who are skilled in carpentry and/or are able to work with children. Team members will be asked to commit to six team gatherings leading up to the trip. Total cost is $1,500. There are a limited number of spots, so please contact Fr. Joe soon with questions or interest in going at [email protected] or 884.9090.

Summer Fun Week 2015 Needs

Volunteers: June 22-26 we will have over 175 children on our campus for Summer Fun Week. We can’t make it happen without our wonderful Ministry Heroes every year and we are looking to recruit more volunteers to join our team! Youth and adults are encouraged to volunteer the week of, the preparation weeks leading

up to it (decorating, shopping, baking, etc), or helping with clean-up. Are you able to help? Sign up online (search: “Sign-up”) or contact Robin Quick at [email protected].

Diocesan Night at the RiverDogs Friday, June 19 • 7:05pm • Joe Riley Stadium

When Bishop Lawrence preached at Christ

Church he urged us to be "together,

together!" here is our chance!

Join Bishop Mark and Allison Lawrence along with others from across the Diocese of South

Carolina for a night of fun Friday, June 19 when the Charleston Riverdogs face Asheville. The

game starts at 7:05 p.m. and ends with a fireworks show. The Diocese has reserved a

block of tickets - all together. Bring friends and neighbors. This is a great opportunity to

connect with others throughout the Diocese. It is red shirt Friday at the game - so wear red!

Tickets are $10 per person and you can add an optional meal deal (hot dog, chips and drink) for an additional $7. Purchase your tickets online at Dioceseofsc.org. Tickets will be available at

Summer Book Study: Every Good Endeavor Begins Tuesday, June 9 • 6:30-7:30pm • Youth Room Are you looking for a deeper sense of meaning and purpose in your vocation? Have you ever wondered

how to view your work through the lens of your faith? Join us as we explore these and other issues through a

six-week study of Tim Keller’s book, Every Good Endeavor: Connecting Your Work to God’s Work, which

offers a biblical perspective on the connections between our work and our faith. The study will be co-

led by Chris & Cindi Haviland and Christina Carnes Ananias. Books are $10.

Women’s Wednesday Morning Bible Study
