What part of the state do you work in?I work in the Upstate, Greenville area.
Where are you from?I am from Colombia, South America.
Are you in school? What are you studying?I have a bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University. I majored in psychology witha minor in business management. I'm currently studying to take the GRE. I will do mymasters degree in the psychology/education field.
What made you want to be a Line Therapist?I love the challenge of helping someone to be happy, gain confidence, and make progress. Those are the reasons I became a Line Therapist; however, I won't deny that I also do itbecause it is fun! My job is like playing and I become a kid every time I interact with my littleones. Additionally, to me, it is a privilege and honor to work with children on the autismspectrum because it is a pursuit that is meaningful, authentic, and fulfilling.
What do you like most about working for PAI?The support I get from my leads and consultants as well as the good quality of training Ihave been exposed to, both in theory and hands-on.
What is your favorite activity to do during a session?Anything outdoors, from swinging to kicking the soccer ball back and forth with my boys.
If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?TinTin, because he is an adventurer who reads clues and makes intellectual decisions.
If you could have one super power, what would it be?If I could have a super power it would be mind-reading.
When you were little, what was your favorite toy or book?My favorite book when I was little was Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift.
David was nominated by Lead Therapist, Christy Little and Ms. Brenda Coombs. Congratulations, David! We are so happy to have you as part of the Palmetto Autism team!
