How to transfer your SEVIS record
If you currently have an F-1 visa from another school, you will need to request your school to transfer your SEVIS record to Cal State Fullerton.
They may ask to see:
• Your CSUF admission letter.
• The Cal State Fullerton school code: LOS214F00210000
CSUF will be able to issue your I-20 after your school transfers your SEVIS record.

Q: When will I get my I-20?A: CSUF will not be able to issue you a new I-20, until your current school has released your SEVIS record. This often occurs at the end of the term. Do not expect to receive a new I-20, until your current school has released your SEVIS record.
Q: I am going home, and I need my new I-20 as soon as possible!A: You must re-enter the country with your CSUF I-20. Notify us if you plan to travel. If we cannot issue your I-20 prior to you leaving the country, your I-20 can be mailed to an overseas address.
Q: Do I need a new visa now that I will transfer to a new school? A: If you have a valid F-1 or J-1 visa stamp, you do not need to go to the US Embassy to obtain a new visa, even though the school indicated on the visa page is a different school.
Q: I think I am out of status, can I still get my I-20?A: You should schedule an appointment with the CSUF Immigration Advisor as soon as possible.
