Scripture Corner:
THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER First Reading: Acts 2:14, 22‑33 After the Holy Spirit descends upon the apostles, Peter preaches with great enthusiasm to both Jews and Chris-tians. He recalls for them in vivid terms the miracles and wonders that Jesus performed.
Second Reading: 1 Peter 1:17‑21 Peter makes reference to the Passover, when the Jews escaped from Egypt because the blood of the paschal lamb was shed. Now they are being saved from sin by the blood of Christ, the Lamb of the New Testament.
Gospel: Luke 24:13‑35 Jesus reveals Himself to two disciples on the way to Em-maus. After explaining to them the passages in Scripture which referred to Him, Christ “took bread, broke it, and distributed it to them.” Then they recognized Christ and their “hearts burned within them.”
Mother's Day is May 14th.

Save the Dates!! Revive With Us
Revive at St. Joseph Revive at St Patrick 95 Plum Brook Rd. Somers 7 Pound Ridge Rd. May 15-17 May 22-24 7:00 pm 6:00 pm Revive is a three night event coming to the parishes of our Archdiocese during which we will explore the fundamental questions, "What are we living for? What is God's purpose for our lives?" Join us and others in your Catholic community to reflect and listen to diverse voices discuss their faith journeys-and go home refreshed and ready to put your faith into action.
On nights one and two, we will enjoy music, listen to a special reflection from one of the inspiring priests of our religious orders, and hear from members of our own communities about overcoming life's challenges through faith and perseverance; you also will be invited to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. On night three, we will celebrate a community Mass-and for those in need, offer the Sacrament of the Anointing (Anointing of the Sick).
Revive will be held at every cluster in the Archdiocese of New York. A cluster is a grouping of 4 or 5 parishes within a region. For St. Marys, our parish cluster Revive is being held at St. Patrick's in Bedford, however you may attend any location that is convenient for you. Visit for more information, other locations and to register if you wish.

The world was a playground for Mickey, a naive Irish American kid bored with his life. His father served in World War II, his brother was a Marine in Vietnam; now it was his turn. His 365 days in Vietnam builds in torment until an attack on a bunker complex in Cambodia. Wounded, his friend captured, he becomes a tormented survivor knowing he is always just a heartbeat from death.
In this memoir, set as deeply in his mind as in the Southeast Asian jungle, a young American soldier embarks
on a journey to a war that, for him, will never be over.
