3 CONFIGURATION

3.1 Network configuration All configuration is carried out through a web-based administration interface. In order to access the web-based administration interface from your PC, both devices must be in the same TCP/IP subnet. For example, if the touch panel’s IP address is 192.168.0.200, with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 (default values), the IP address of the PC should also be in the 192.168.0.x range (for example, 192.168.0.201), with subnet mask 255.255.255.0. The current IP address and subnet mask of the touch panel can be checked onscreen, in the “Network” section of the “System settings” menu. Please refer to the Touchone User Guide. For detailed help on configuring the network settings on your PC, please refer to your operating system’s documentation

3.2 Login To access the web-based administration interface, open a web browser and enter the IP address of the Touchone. A login screen will be displayed. The default username and password are as follows:

Username: admin Password: touchone

The current session will also expire automatically after a certain period of inactivity. You can also log out at any time by clicking on the “Logout” button at the upper right corner of the page.

3.3 Door phone The door phone page shows a list of configured door stations. In order to configure a new door station, click on the “Add new” button. In order to edit or delete an existing door station, click on the corresponding “Edit” and “Delete” links in the door stations table.

Door station parameters When adding a new door station or editing an existing one, the following parameters can be configured. Some parameters may or may not be available depending on the capabilities of the actual door station being configured. - Name: A descriptive name that will be shown onscreen to identify this door station. - Associated SIP user: SIP user assigned to this door station. On setups with multiple door stations,

this field is used to determine the calling station. - IP address / hostname: The IP address or hostname of the door station. This is used for video

streaming and, depending on the configuration, for door opening. The specified IP address or hostname should be reachable from the Touchone.

- Extra button: Selects the function of the second action button in the door phone interface, if the

door station supports control of a second output (e.g. for opening an additional door or for switching courtesy lights).

- Door open method: Selects whether the door opening function will operate over HTTP or via SIP

(DTMF tones), if the door station supports both methods. Door opening over HTTP allows opening

the door from the touch panel even if there is no incoming call. If door opening is configured via SIP (DTMF), the door can only be opened while a call is in progress.

- Door 1 code: Enter the door opening code as configured in the door station, for example “00”.

Shown only if the door opening function is configured to use SIP (DTMF). - Door 2 code: Enter the door opening code for the second door, if available. Shown only if the door

opening function is configured to use SIP (DTMF) and the extra button is enabled. - Username: User name for IP access to the door station. - Password: Password for IP access to the door station.

Door station configuration Separate application notes are available describing how to configure the door stations themselves for use with the Iddero Touchone.

3.4 IP cameras The IP cameras page shows a list of configured IP cameras. In order to configure a new IP camera, click on the “Add new” button. In order to edit or delete an existing camera, click on the corresponding “Edit” and “Delete” links in the cameras table.

The Touchone directly supports a number of predefined camera manufacturers and models. For these, manual configuration of parameters such as protocol, video codec, and path is not required. If the manufacturer and/or model of your IP camera is not listed, simply select “Generic” as the manufacturer and manually configure these parameters.

Please note: Direct support of predefined camera manufacturers and models assumes that the camera uses a factory default configuration. If this is not the case (for example, if the camera has been set to use a custom path for the video stream), then configure it as a “Generic” camera in the Touchone.

IP camera parameters When adding a new IP camera or editing an existing one, the following parameters can be configured. Some parameters may or may not be available depending on the manufacturer and model of the camera being configured. - Name: A descriptive name that will be shown onscreen to identify this camera. - Manufacturer: Select the manufacturer of the camera, if it is directly supported by the Touchone.

Select “Generic” if the manufacturer of the camera is not listed. - Model: Select the camera model. If the manufacturer is set to “Generic”, select the protocol and

video codec to use instead. Available combinations are: RTSP / H.264, RTSP / MPEG4, RTSP / MJPEG, and HTTP / MJPEG.

- Channel: For multi-channel IP video encoders, such as the Grandstream GXV-3504, select which

channel to use. - IP address / hostname: The IP address or hostname of the camera. The specified IP address or

hostname should be reachable from the Touchone. - Path: This parameter applies to “Generic” cameras only. In order to configure this, please check

the documentation provided by the manufacturer and find the URL used to access the video stream from a media player such as VLC, or (for HTTP / MJPEG cameras only) from a web browser. The “path” parameter is the part of the URL that comes after the IP address, and, if applicable, port number.

For example, for a Panasonic camera with HTTP / MJPEG streaming, with IP address 192.168.0.220 and HTTP port 8080, you would use the following URL:

http://192.168.0.220:8080/SnapShotJPEG?Resolution=320x240&Quality=Motion

In this example the value to enter in the Path field would be: /SnapShotJPEG?Resolution=320x240&Quality=Motion

- HTTP port: Port to use for HTTP access to the camera (will use the default port if blank) - RTSP port: Port to use for RTSP access to the camera (will use the default port if blank) - Username: User name for IP access to the camera. - Password: Password for IP access to the camera.

Protocol IP address + port Path

IP camera configuration hints The following settings are recommended for the IP camera itself: - Axis 213 PTZ and 215 PTZ: Configure camera as PAL. - Axis Q1755 and Q6034: Select a resolution with 16:9 aspect ratio - Mobotix cameras: VGA resolution is recommended - Grandstream cameras: CIF or EPTZ resolution is recommended - Vivotek cameras: Recommended resolutions: CIF / 352x288 / 352x240 / VGA - Generic cameras: Whenever possible, it is recommended to configure cameras with low or

medium resolutions, such as QVGA (320x240), CIF, or VGA (640x480) as this generally allows for better frame rates.

3.5 UI preferences The UI preferences section lets you upload custom background images to the Touchone. It is possible to configure two different images, one for the home screen and a second one (“General”) for all other menus and functions. Background images must be in jpeg, png, or gif format, with 800x480 resolution, and maximum size of 1 MB. The “Restore” button restores both background images to their factory set defaults.

www.iddero.com IDDERO TOUCHONE – Configuration Manual 11

3.6 System The system section provides four different sub-sections, which are described separately.

Admin access This sub-section lets you modify the username and password for the web-based administration interface.

Configuration data The following options are available: - Backup config: Lets you download a backup file of the current Touchone configuration. - Restore from backup: Restores the Touchone configuration from an existing backup file. - Reset to factory defaults: Resets the Touchone configuration to factory defaults.

Page 12: Configuration Manual - mercaselect.es · The UI preferences section lets you upload custom background images to the Touchone. It is possible ... Configuration Manual 13 4 RECOVERY

www.iddero.com IDDERO TOUCHONE – Configuration Manual 12

Please note: The “Restore from backup” and “Reset to factory defaults” actions will also update the administrator username and password. You may want to manually reconfigure the login information immediately after completing any of these two actions. Please note: The following settings will not be modified by the “Restore from backup” and “Reset to factory defaults” actions:

Touch screen calibration data Display contrast setting Network configuration Current date and time

- Reset user passcode only: Resets the user (screen) passcode to factory defaults (disabled). This

is useful if the user has enabled a passcode but forgot it.

Firmware The “Update firmware” option lets you upload a firmware update to the Touchone. Use only official firmware update files provided by Iddero. Avoid interrupting the update operation or turning off the Touchone during the update process. If the firmware update process is interrupted, the Touchone could be left in a locked state and would need to be returned to factory for repair.

Tools The following options are available: - Recalibrate touch: Schedules a recalibration of the touch screen to take place on next system

reboot. This option should be used only when necessary. Calibrating with a stylus is recommended for greater accuracy.

- Reboot: Forces a system reboot.

4 RECOVERY MODE If you lose the administrator username and password, you will not be able to modify the configuration of the Touchone anymore. In this case, you will need to boot into “Recovery mode”. For security reasons, entering Recovery mode requires physical access to the touch panel. In order to enter Recovery mode, just reboot the unit and touch anywhere on the screen during the boot process for at least three seconds. The touch panel will beep three times to acknowledge the request and the Recovery mode screen will be shown.

When in Recovery mode, the web-based administration interface does not require an explicit login, but the available options will be limited to only two: Reset the configuration to factory defaults, and reboot the system. These work just as described in section 3.6, “System”.
