IEEE Authorship Workshop:

An IEEE Authorship Workshop titled “How to

publish a Technical Paper with IEEE” was

conducted by IEEE @IIT-Delhi on 11th

August’14.

7 students of 5th Semester attended the

workshop which turned out to be very fruitful.

Visit To IIT Delhi To Attend DLP Organised By IEEE:

The “Third C.K Prahalad Memorial Lecture 2014 - My Journey

Beyond Business” was conducted by Ananta Aspen Center and CII-

Young Indians(Yi) at the WWF India Auditorium, Lodhi Estate, New

Delhi on 14th August’14. Kinshuk Dudeja, 5th Semester ECS, attended

the lecture

On 20TH August 2014, a team of 5 students from Electronics and

Computer Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering,

Gurgaon went to IIT Delhi to attend a lecture on topic "Ultra-low power

wireless body sensor network for smart bio-signals monitoring systems"

organized by DLP (DISTINGUISHED LECTURE PROGRAM) lecture

organized by IEEE circuits and system/control society (CAS-CS)

Entrepreneurship Empowerment Program:

Five students from ECS Department had participated in the workshop on “Entrepreneurship

Empowerment Program” organized by Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Dronacharya

College of Engineering, Gurgaon in association with the National Institute for

Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), which is an autonomous

Institute under Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of

India, in college premises on August 21, 2014.

Google Developers Group: Android Hackathon

Google Developers Group of Dronacharya College of

Engineering, Gurgaon organized a two day event on

Android

Technology “HACKATHON” from 29th to 30th August

2014. The objective of this technical event was to

provide hands-on experience on android technology

manifesting imagination into reality in the world of

applications.

Balakalakaar 2014

KINSHUK DUDEJA (Roll No. 15714) of ECS

Dept. 5th Semester participated as volunteer in

Balakalakaar 2014, an event organized on 31st

August 2014 by AIESEC IIT Delhi to impact and

spread happiness to the lives of underprivileged

children.

Leadership Conference 2014

AIESEC, IIT Delhi organised a four day conference for all the fresh appointees recruited in the

August Recruitment Session. The four day conference was held at Hotel Mela Plaza, Ghaziabad

from 5th-8th September 2014. KINSHUK DUDEJA (Roll No. 15714) from Electronics &

Computer Engineering department had attended the same.

NSS CAMP:

Lecture on 5G Standardization: WISDOM

The Entrepreneurship by ADAM COX:

The NSS MEGA CAMP 2014 organised by Ministry of youth

affairs and Sports and the NSS regional centre, JaipurThe

NSS Mega Camp was held in two venues i.e from 05-09-

2014 to 11-09-2014 at Jain Vishwa Bharati, Ladun

District- Nagaur (Rajasthan) [Base Camp] and five days

Education Tour Tour at local Jaipur, Ajmer and Nearby

areas. Gaurav Verma (Roll No. 15709) attended the NSS

Camp and got appreciation prize.

Anshul and Vineet gave a presentation on “5 G – Standardization:

WISDOM” to share their knowledge with the students of III Sem and

VII Sem from 2:30pm to 3:00 pm. With the help of their

presentation, they show the present scenario of 4G and the prosed

scenario of 5G by GISFI till 2020. They also talked about the book

written by Dr. Ramjee on 5G

Lecture on “Entrepreneurship” was conducted by ADAM COX at The

Entrepreneurship School, Gurgaon on September 12, 2014. 25

students of 7th Semester, ECS Dept attended the lecture.

One Day Session on “Android App Designing”:

“Rethink, Recreate, Rejuvenate” Workshop organized by Brahma Kumari

Retreat Centre, Bilaspur Chowk, Gurgaon

Lecture on “Entrepreneurship” was conducted by ADAM COX at

The Entrepreneurship School, Gurgaon on September 12, 2014.

25 students of 7th Semester, ECS Dept attended the lecture.

A one day session on “Android App Designing” for the students of III

& V Semester was taken by Mr. Anshul Patro, Student of VII

Semester, Electronics and Computer Engineering Branch on 17th

September, 2014. This session was planned to introduce the students

with basic android applet designing and to motivate them to create

new applets based on their innovative ideas.

Ten students of III and V Semester ECS attended a one day

workshop on “Rethink, Recreate and Rejuvenate”, it was

organized by Om Shanti Retreat Centre on 20th September,

2014 (Saturday) at Om Shanti Retreat Centre, Blilaspur

Chowk, Pataudi Road, Gurgaon. The workshop was organized

to celebrate Engineers Day.

Exclusive Technical Seminar by Oracle

Microsoft Talent India 2014

MICROSOFT INDIA organised a seminar for the youth and the students of

meaning leading colleges in India. Almost 35,000 students from all over the

country witnessed this seminar either through television or live stream.

Students of Dronacharya College of Engineering got the privilege to attend

the seminar at the venue itself. The highlights of the Event were Mr Satya

Nadella, CEO of Microsoft who was one of the key speakers of the event

along with Honourable Human Resource Development Minister Mrs Smriti

Irani and Mr Bhaskar Pramanik, Chairman of Microsoft India

Voting Awareness Program for Upcoming Elections

Aman Sharma(14603) and Vineet Kataria(14631) of Electronics & Computer Engineering

department attended the meeting which primarily focused on Voting Awareness among

people of Gurgaon. Speakers for the event, Mr.Venkateshwar and Mr.RohitYadav talked about

the present voting scenario of Gurgaon where most of the people did not turned up for

voting. Around 50 Students from different collages of Gurgaon like ITM, KIIT, WCTM and

DCE, Gurgaon, attended the meeting where some of them may be named as. The main

motive of this program was to set up the groups among different collages in Gurgaon so that

it could help Election Commission of India to achieve 80% voting in Gurgaon.

One day Exclusive Oracle University Event- "Jump Start to

Oracle Certification" in association with Oracle University on

24th September 2014. The session was attended by the

students of Information Technology, Computer Science &

Engineering and Electronics & Computer Science.

VISIT TO IIT DELHI: DLP ORGANISED BY IEEE ON 16-10-2014

DevFest’14 GDG NEW DELHI, Investopad Gurgaon, November 2, 2014

DevFest’14 was organized by Google Developer’s Group-New Delhi on 2 November 2014 at

Investopad, Gurgaon from 9am-5pm. Anshul Patro (Roll No.- 14605), a student of

Electronics and Computer Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering,

Gurgaon attended the event.

Microsoft App Building Workshop

A team of 4 students: Abhineet Sinha (Roll No. 15699), Aishwarya

Kharbanda (Roll No. 15700), Chandra Mohan (Roll No. 15705) and

Mayank Kaushal (Roll No. 15717) from 5th Semester of Electronics and

Computer Engineering Department visited IIT Delhi to attend IEEE CASS-

CS Delhi Section Lecture Series on 16th October 2014. Prof. Radu

Marculsecu from Carnegie Mellon University and Prof. Partha Pratim Pande

from Washington State University were the speakers for the lecture at

Bharti School of Telecommunication Technology and Management.

MIC, DCE, Gurgaon organized a 3 day workshop for the

students on Microsoft Technology AZURE from 18th – 20th

November’14. Also, they created apps then and there itself

and they were published in the Windows Store. It was indeed

a great opportunity for the students to learn. The students of

ECS Dept published over 80 apps on the Windows Store..
