Münster Osnabrück International Air-port is one of Germany‘s international commercial airports. Situated on the bank of Lake Aa, the Mühlenhof Freilichtmuseum (open-air-museum) comprises about 30 large and small half-timbered buildings from the 17th to 19th century. In 1961, the Frei-lichtmuseum was opened with the con-struction of an Emsland post mill from the 18th century and has been a popular destination ever since.
Lots of congress organisers plan the asso-ciated evening events or the conference itself in this idyllic Westphalian setting.

Are you looking for an extraordinary, post-industrial location, in which you can welcome your guests in a cosy and yet stylish atmosphere? Then Heaven is your best choice.
Generously sized areas, intelligent sub-division of the rooms, and complete catering facilities make it possible to cater for up to 1,500 people. The restau-rant is the actual main room at Heaven and is divided into two areas. The latter is variously used as a dance floor, res-
taurant, or events area. In addition, the restaurant has a cosy fireplace corner, a prestigious VIP area by the dance floor and a generously sized terrace. From 30th April to 30th September, the square in front of Heaven is transformed each year into the city‘s only beach club.

The Historical Rathaus (Town Hall) at Prinzipalmarkt is from the middle of the 14th century and, with its high gable, has no equal in Germany. History has been written here. In 1648, the Spanish-Dutch Peace Treaty – part of the Peace of Westphalia – was confirmed in the Peace Hall. After being largely destroyed in the Second World War, the characte-ristic gabled building with its arches, was faithfully reconstructed in the 1950‘s, financed above all by the donations in kind and money of merchants and citi-
zens and through the town hall lotteries. The Rathaus (Town Hall) and the adja-cent Stadtweinhaus (City Wine House) are now used for cultural and prestigious occasions and for official receptions. The meetings of the political councils also take place here. The largest room in the Town Hall – the ballroom – and the adja-cent armoury can be provided with vari-ous types of seating. Furthermore, small meeting rooms are to be found in the Stadtweinhaus. These rooms have fixed block-formation seating.

The Museum für Lackkunst (Museum of Lacquer Art), located in the heart of the city, is the only one of its kind in the world. The collection comprises around 2,000 exhibits from East Asia, Europe and the Islamic world with objects from more than two millennia. During the two deca-des of its existence so far, the company‘s own collection has been continually and systematically expanded.
The museum is now a centre of excel-lence with an international scientific
reputation. The museum‘s regularly held special exhibitions deepen individual aspects of traditional and contemporary lacquer art.
In addition to this, events such as con-certs and readings have made it a cul-tural meeting place highly appreciated by its guests. The event premises are available between the times of the spe-cial exhibitions, upon consultation.

The Picasso Museum Münster – behind listed facades in the middle of Münster‘s old district – offers space for business or private purposes as well as top-class art. These premises can also be used outside the opening hours.
Embedded in an exciting cultural atmos-phere, equipped with all important tech-nical possibilities, the media room can
be easily transformed into a conference venue for smaller business gatherings or lectures. In addition, the foyer of the museum can act as a stylish setting for exclusive eve-ning events or a standing reception with up to 150 people.

After full refurbishment in 2014, the former Hiltruper railway station now gleams with new lustre. The listed buil-ding is not just popular for theatre, exhi-bitions and concerts. The high room with exposed stonework and a gallery also provides a great ambiance for smaller conferences and events.
Conference technology, such as a projec-tor and projection screen, are installed. The Kulturbahnhof can be accessed by train (Münster – Hamm route) and bus. An independent restaurant could be found next to the Kulturbahnhof. Orga-nisers are free to choose their catering suppliers.
The Friedenskapelle is one of the most renowned concert addresses in the city. In the elegant concert hall under golden chandeliers, you will find a versatile and rich concert programme.
The room has multiple functions and offers a unique ambiance for conferences and congresses. Conferences, in-house
trade fairs, lectures, workshops – all this and more will find a charming backdrop in the Friedenskapelle. Good transport connections and ample (free) parking round off the services.
