It marked the Big 12’s sixth appearance in a CFP News Year’s Bowl in the four years of the structure. The Big 12 had at least 80% of teams bowl eligible for the third time in Conference history (90% in 2010 and 80% in 2011). It marked just the 14th occasion since 1996 that an FBS league had at least 80% of teams with 6-plus wins. The Big 12’s .643 (9-5) bowl win percentage over the last two seasons leads the autonomy conferences. The 2017 percentage of .625 (5-3) is second among peer leagues. The Big 12 finished the season with 70% of its teams above .500, the highest FBS percentage. 30% of Big 12 teams amassed double-digit win totals, the second highest percentage among FBS leagues. The Big 12 led the nation with 80 percent of its teams selected to bowl games, highlighted by Oklahoma’s second appearance in three years in a CFP semifi nal. It marked the Big 12’s sixth appearance in a CFP News Year’s Bowl in the four years of the structure.

The Big 12 had at least 80% of teams bowl eligible for the third time in Conference history (90% in 2010 and 80% in 2011). It marked just the 14th occasion since 1996 that an FBS league had at least 80% of teams with 6-plus wins.
