According to the World Meteorological Organization, the world is now experiencing the warmest five year period on record. The average global temperature for 2015–2019 is on track to be the warmest of any equivalent period on record and is currently estimated to be 1.1°Celsius above pre-industrial times.
Widespread and long-lasting heat waves, record-breaking fires and other devastating events such as tropical cyclones, floods and drought have had major impacts on socio-economic development and the environment.
Recent climate strikes have shown that young people and civil society are demanding action on climate and want to be engaged in the decision making process. The time to respond with action is now.

The Children Climate Conference - 2020 opens a dialogue between youth and decision makers, putting students in the driving seat with voice to realize their potential and the change they are persisting towards climate action.

Selection Criteria The followings are the main criteria for evaluating Bids :
Hosting Fee In consideration of the staging of the Event potential hosts are invited to consider a Hosting fee to Green Mentors. Main Event Main Conference Hall 500- 1000 seating Capacity with audio-visual facilities Side Events 4 Halls 200 seating capacity with audio-visual facilitiesFood 1000 persons approx.Dormitory 400 Dormitories for Attendees Menu Indigenous Organic food Transportation 10 -15 Buses for transporting attendees to/from Airport to Hotel, Venue & 8 Cabs for transporting VIP and Speakers Hotel Rooms 20 Double Rooms at nearest Hotel for VIP GuestVolunteers 50 dedicated Staff members as volunteer Medical facility Appropriate Medical service for attendees and officials Organization The nature and structure of the Host Organizing Committee and experience of the hosting international event. Location Considering the proximity of the city and venue in relation to all other organizational factors including airports. The distance and time of transport from airports to hotels and hotels to Conference venue.Visa Support Experience of Visa Support to the Attendee Media & How the Event would be marketed to maximizeMarketing exposure for the Climate Conference including a clear strategy to attract international as well as national based spectators. The host also should have a clear strategy on how it plans to attract and support international media at the Event.
