Steven Cobb, Ph.D., Center for Economic Education, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, College of Arts and Sciences, University of North Texas Steven L. Cobb, Ph.D. is the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs in the College of Arts and

Sciences at the University of North Texas. He also serves as Director of the Center for Economic

Education and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics. Cobb is currently a

member of the American Economic Associations Committee on Economic Education. He attended

Southwestern University for his undergraduate work in Economics and Political Science. Cobb

received his Ph.D. in Economics in 1987 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He

joined the faculty at the University of North Texas in 1986 and teaches principles of microeconomics

and principles of macroeconomics at the undergraduate level and courses in international

economics, comparative economic systems, and history of economic thought at both the graduate

and undergraduate level.

Alberto Dvila, Ph.D., Center for Economic Education, Professor of Economics, University of Texas - Pan American Alberto Dvila, Ph,D. is currently Professor of Economics and V.F. Doc and Gertrude Neuhaus Chair

for Entrepreneurship at the University of TexasPan American. He is also serving as Department

Chair for the Department of Economics and Finance at UTPA, a position he has held since January

1997. Before joining UTPA in 1996, Dvila was a tenured faculty member at the University of New

Mexico. He earned his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in economics from Iowa State University and a B.A.

degree in economics from Pan American University. Dvilas research interests include the

economics of the U.S.-Mexico border, the economics of immigration, and Hispanic labor markets.

Dvila has published on border-related topics since 1982.

Susan Kizer, Economic Education, Public Affairs, Federal Reserve Bank, Houston Branch

Susan Kizer joined the Federal Reserve Bank in the Public Affairs Department in September of 2009.

As a part of our Economic Education Outreach, she works closely with high school and university

faculty to provide enhanced professional development opportunities in the areas of economics and

financial literacy. Prior to coming to the Bank, she taught AP Economics at Kingwood High School.

While at Kingwood, she was recognized as Teacher of the Year, served as District Coordinator for AP

Economics and sponsored the Model United Nations, UIL Current Issues and Events, and UIL Social

Studies Teams. Susan received a BS in Economics from University of Texas at Arlington and a MA in

Education from Lamar University.

Princeton Williams, Economic Education Program Coordinator, Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Princeton Williams joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas in 2006. He develops and delivers a wide range of professional development presentations for educators and other audiences throughout the Eleventh District. He co-authored Navigate: Exploring College and Careers and has served as the content editor for three publications in the Everyday Economics series. He oversees the Dallas Feds permanent exhibit, The Economy in Action, and working with the Dallas Historical Society, Williams curated a temporary exhibit, An Argument for Dallas, which described the selection of Dallas as the location of a Federal Reserve Bank. He serves as co-chair of the Federal Reserve Systems economic education group. Prior to coming to the Bank, he taught economics at R.L. Paschal High School in Fort Worth. As lead teacher for AP economics for Fort Worth ISD, Williams coauthored the districts economics curriculum and mentored new economics teachers. Williams received a BBA from Southern Methodist University and an MA in economics from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Pat Hardy, TCEE Board Member, State Board of Education Member, Weatherford ISD Patricia "Pat" Hardy, a lifelong educator, TCEE Board Member, was elected to serve District 11 of the State Board of Education in November 2002 and re-elected in 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2014. As a member of the State Board of Education, Hardy represents Parker County and parts of Dallas and Tarrant counties. During her tenure on the board, Hardy, a Republican, has served on all three of the board's committees. She currently serves as chair of the board's Committee on School Finance/Permanent School Fund. Hardy is presently a part-time instructional specialist in the Weatherford Independent School District in Weatherford. For five years she served the district as the Social Studies Coordinator. Previously, she taught high school world history and world geography for 30 years at Castleberry High School in Fort Worth. Hardy has served on many state and national education boards and committees. Hardy holds a master's degree in Secondary Education and History from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies from Howard Payne University.

Rosemary Morrow, Ph.D., University of Texas Rosemary Morrow, Ph.D. is a clinical assistant professor in the UTeach Liberal Arts Program, College of Liberal Arts, at The University of Texas at Austin. She worked for over thirty years in the Austin Independent School District as a secondary social studies teacher and as a curriculum administrator. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Doctorate of Philosophy from The University of Texas at Austin and a Masters of Education from Southwest Texas State University, now Texas State University. She serves on the Travis County Historical Commission, Law-Related Education, Inc. Board of Directors, the Texas State Historical Association Education Committee, and the Board of Governors of Jourdan-Bachman Pioneer Farms in Austin. Dr. Morrow supports K-12 public education and continues to participate in social studies-related professional development to stay current with teaching strategies, content, and technology.

Jean Walker, West Texas Center for Economic Education, West Texas A&M University Jean Walker has been the director of the West Texas Center for Economic Education at West Texas A&M University in Canyon since 1997. Although she retired from the faculty at WTAMU in January 2015, she continues as director of the Center for Economic Education. Walker joined the faculty in 1980 and has taught courses on various aspects for Business, Finance, Management, Investments, Macroeconomics and Communications. She received her B.S. in education and her MBA from West Texas State University, which is now West Texas A&M University.

Rachel Goolsby, Wells Fargo Rachel Goolsby is the Wells Fargo at Work Regional Program Manager for the Greater San Antonio region. She has been employed with Wells Fargo for the past five years and has previously served as a banker and branch manager in Philadelphia, PA. In her current role she is the financial benefits and literacy advocate for her area and partners with numerous corporations and school districts. She is from Portland, TX and received her bachelors in Economics from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

Susan Doty, Director, Center for Economic Education and Financial Literacy, University of Texas - Tyler Susan Doty is the founding director of the Center for Economic Education and Financial Literacy at the University of Texas at Tyler, where she also serves on the economics faculty as a senior lecturer and undergraduate economics advisor. Prior to starting the Center at UT Tyler, she started a similar center at the University of Southern Mississippi, where she initiated the first district-wide initiative in the nation that integrated economics and personal finance into every subject area at each K-12 grade level in all public schools within a single school district. She completed her undergraduate work in biology at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts and has an MBA from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Steven Cobb, Ph.D., University of North Texas, Center for Economic Education

Steven L. Cobb, Ph.D. is the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs in the College of Arts and

Sciences at the University of North Texas. He also serves as Director of the Center for Economic

Education and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics. Cobb is currently a member

of the American Economic Associations Committee on Economic Education. He attended

Southwestern University for his undergraduate work in Economics and Political Science. Cobb

received his Ph.D. in Economics in 1987 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He

joined the faculty at the University of North Texas in 1986 and teaches principles of microeconomics

and principles of macroeconomics at the undergraduate level and courses in international economics,

comparative economic systems, and history of economic thought at both the graduate and

undergraduate level.

Alberto Dvila, Ph.D., University of Texas - Pan American, Center for Economic Education

Alberto Dvila, Ph,D. is currently Professor of Economics and V.F. Doc and Gertrude Neuhaus Chair

for Entrepreneurship at the University of TexasPan American. He is also serving as Department

Chair for the Department of Economics and Finance at UTPA, a position he has held since January

1997. Before joining UTPA in 1996, Dvila was a tenured faculty member at the University of New

Mexico. He earned his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in economics from Iowa State University and a B.A.

degree in economics from Pan American University. Dvilas research interests include the economics

of the U.S.-Mexico border, the economics of immigration, and Hispanic labor markets. Dvila has

published on border-related topics since 1982.

Susan Doty, University of Texas Tyler, Center for Economic Education and Financial Literacy

Susan Doty is the founding director of the Center for Economic Education and Financial Literacy at the University of Texas at Tyler, where she also serves on the economics faculty as a senior lecturer and undergraduate economics advisor. Prior to starting the Center at UT Tyler, she started a similar center at the University of Southern Mississippi, where she initiated the first district-wide initiative in the nation that integrated economics and personal finance into every subject area at each K-12 grade level in all public schools within a single school district. She completed her undergraduate work in biology at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts and has an MBA from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Cheryl McGaughey, Angelo State University, Center for Economic Education

Cheryl McGaughey has been an Instructor of Finance at Angelo State University since 1984 and center

director since 1997. She received her BBA in Management from Stephen F. Austin State University

and her MBA in Finance from the University of Mississippi. In her role as Senior Instructor of Finance,

she teaches courses in both Corporate and Personal Finance as well as an Economic Issues course. In

addition, she advises over 30 students a year and is in charge of the Personal Financial Planning

major. As center director, she has conducted trainings and workshops for over 7,000 Texas teachers.

Many of these workshops have been conducted in San Angelo but also in Del Rio, Abilene, Odessa,

Canyon and Amarillo.

Cheryl

Shepherd, Ph.D., Stephen F. Austin State University, Center for Economic Education

Nancy Shepherd, Ph.D. is the Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator for Family and

Consumer Sciences, Stephen F. Austin State University. She received her doctoral degree from

Texas Tech University in 2013 in Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Her research interests

include appropriate teaching strategies incorporating experiential learning, innovative curriculum

delivery, teaching from a critical science perspective, global curriculum design and educational

leadership, which resulted in the creation of teaching resources delivered in a traveling trunk

through her company, Global Fusion Educational Resources . Before moving to Texas, Nancy

taught at several institutions in the Northwest and worked in business and industry. She currently

serves as President for the Texas Affiliate of the American Association of Family and Consumer

Sciences and serves as Vice President of Membership for the National Family and Consumer

Sciences Education Association.

Jean Walker, West Texas A&M University, West Texas Center for Economic Education

Jean Walker has been the director of the West Texas Center for Economic Education at West Texas A&M University in Canyon since 1997. Although she retired from the faculty at WTAMU in January 2015, she continues as director of the Center for Economic Education. Walker joined the faculty in 1980 and has taught courses on various aspects for Business, Finance, Management, Investments, Macroeconomics and Communications. She received her B.S. in education and her MBA from West Texas State University, which is now West Texas A&M University.
