I. LOCATION AND ACCESS

The Condor mineral claims are located approximately 140 km to the north

from the town of Stewart, B.C., near the Alaska and B.C. boundaries.

The NTS reference for the property is 56" 44' North and 130" 19' West. The

altitude ranges from 3,650' on Condor #3 claim, to 4,800' on Condor #2 claim.

The LCP of Condor #2 and #3 claims was surveyed by using the Magellan-1000

PRO-GPS satellite locator. The survey procedure was accurate and should be

used as a guide for claim location in the area.

The property has dual access, one from Bell #3 Helicopter Base, on highway

#37 (Cassiar-Stewart), or from the same highway #37 at Bob Quinn Lake

Helicopter Base. Average travelling time by helicopter is 15 minutes from the

base on highway #37 to the property locations.

The following figures #1 and #2 show the location of, and access to, the Condor

Group claims located in the area of Eskay Gold Camp.

11. PROPERTY LEGAL STATUS

The Condor Group Claims are now comprised of 18 units, and are located in

the Eskay Creek area. The Group itself is located within the Liard Mining

Division. The property is recorded with the B.C. Miniistry of Energy & Mines,

Petroleum Resources, as follows:

Claim No. Record # # of Units Record Date Emirv Date

Condor #2 8033 12 Feb.25, 1991 Feb.25,1993

Condor #3 8034 6 (reduc) Feb.25, 1991 Feb.25, 1993

In order to keep the property in good standing, annual assessment fees in the

amount of $100.00 per unit are required for the first three years. After three

years, the annual assessment fees are $200.00 per unit.

The entire claims group is shown on the map in Figure #2 in 1:50,000 scale.

111. PROPERTY LOCATION ON THE REGIONAL GEOLOGY MAP

Condor #2 and #3 mineral claims are located within Intermontane Tectono-

Stratographic belt, one of five parallel northwest-southwest trending belts

which compromise the Canadian Cordilliera.

The group is located near the contact of the Stikine Terrane and the West half

of Intermontane Belt, and the unmetamorphosed sediment of the Boswer

Basin.

The following figure, #3, includes an approximate location of Condor #2 and #3

claims on the Regional Geology Map (from Alldrick 1989). The 1989 Alldrick

map was used as a reference and guide for the claim locations within the

Eskay Gold Camp area.

The author of this prospecting report conducted short-term reconnaissance field

programs to determine the stratigraphy within the property boundaries.

According to BCDM f i e data, no previous data or work history is indicated in

this area. The preliminary work project was commenced on July 21,1991 and,

with some breaks in the period of time, was completed by September 11,1991.

A total of 25 rock samples were taken out of the property. Five were chosen

for lab assay. The rest, including silt samples, remain in storage, for reference.

'Ibtal coverage of the prospected area ranged between 40% and 60% of the total

of 18 units within the property group.

The majority of the property is located in a mountainous and partly-glacified

terrain, where elevation ranges from 3,600 feet to 4,900 feet. Therefore,

traditional prospecting and traversing was limited by the prevailing topo-

graphic conditions and the steep terrain. This report summarizes the

prospecting surveys conducted by the author of this report during the summer

of 1991.

The regional geology mapping indicates that the property is underlain by a

large embayment of upper Triassic to lower Jurassic complex. "he Condor #2

and #3 claim areas are mostly underlain by an unknown thickness of Upper

Triassic Epiclastic Volcanics, sandstones and siltstone. However, presence of

more favourable rocks from the Salomon River formation (MidJurassic) were

located near the south-west boundary of Condor #2 claim. Weakly deformed

(dark-grey coloured siltstone) was replaced by more intensely folded (grey to

lighbgrey in colour) banded siltstone and lithic tuff.

The sample CRX #004 was taken near the mentioned area, above south-west

part of Condor #2 claim. The rocks were weakly chloritic, and that may

suggest that the junging sequence of the Betty Creek formation (Lower

Jurassic) replaces the Salomon River formation (MidJurassic) in this area.

However, more exact geological interpretation is needed to prove this

assumption.

The rock samples and silt samples picked up in the vicinity of Condor #2 and

#3 claims are plotted on figure #4.

A brief description of the rock formations is given in Section VI11 in the

description of geochemical samples.

A limited budget and lack of additional funds did not permit the extension of

the 1991 field program to a full-size exploration project. The author suggests

again that further geological investigation is needed to warrant more

successful program on the properties.

V. RECOMMENDATIONS

The geological formations surrounding the Condor claims provide a favourable

complex for base metals and other metallic minerals of commercial

significance.

It is recommended to use the VLF-EM surveying method to locate some target

areas throughout the property, to correspond to the airborne geophysical

survey done in the area and recently published in the BCDM papers.

However, the very steep terrain on Condor #3 claim may conflict with that

procedure. Magnetic surveying should be carried out to assist the geological

mapping.

Interpretation of such information will help establish proper grid lines on the

properties.

The Condor Group property should be prospected and geologically mapped on

a scale of 15000 or on a minimum of 1:10,000 scale.

Soil samples may not be an effective field procedure during the project time.

The writer of this report has done the preliminary research concerning soil

Prospecting Report, Condor #2 and #3 Mineral Claims Page 11

Page 16: CONDOR #2 and #3 MINERAL CLAIMS LIARD MINING DIVISIONS ... · Condor #2 and #3 mineral claims are located within Intermontane Tectono- Stratographic belt, one of five parallel northwest-southwest

horizons in the district (test pits). However, if the decision is made to proceed

with a soil sampling grid, a professional geochemist should be called to the

project area for initial consultations.

Unfortunately, many exploration programs fail because of the unquestioned

acceptance that so-called "standard procedures" must always be implemented.

The results from this work should be used in the construction of a preliminary

geological model, to estimate potential mineralization on the property.

However, the size and grade of the Eskay Gold Camp deposits, which lay 5 km

south of the Condor Group, makes the search for precious metal-enriched

deposits in this area so potentially rewarding.
