P & C Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Condong P&C Association will be held later this term (date to be confirmed). All positions will be declared vacant. Here is a brief description of the positions and what is involved in each position.

PRESIDENT - attends and runs the regular monthly meeting (if unable to attend a Vice President chairs the meeting). VICE PRESIDENT x 2 - attends regular meetings and chairs meetings when the President is absent (which rarely happens). SECRETARY – attends regular monthly meetings, takes down the minutes at meetings (this is done in a scrap book, then typed up at home and copied to be handed out at the next meeting), receives correspondence, sends correspondence (average of 4 letters per year). TREASURER – attends regular monthly meetings and presents financial report, banks money from fundraising etc, pays cheques for supplies, uniforms, etc, balances accounts with bank statement (book work takes 10-15mins per month). CANTEEN PURCHASER – checks supplies in canteen weekly and then orders supplies required. CANTEEN ROSTER CONVENOR – organises roster for each term. UNIFORM CO-ORDINATOR – stock takes, orders uniforms and sells uniforms at Kindergarten Orientation.

Voluntary School Contributions 2018 Voluntary school contributions allow the school to provide an enhanced level of resourcing for all students at Condong Public School. These key resources are highly important to the daily work of each student. The level of school contributions set by the Condong Public School P & C Association for 2018 is as follows: 1st child $48, 2nd child $33, 3rd child $25, 4th and subsequent children are free. It would be appreciated if contributions could be finalised by the end of this term.

Sun Safety With summer approaching it is relevant to remind everyone about hats. Broad brim school hats are a part of our school uniform. Our region is amongst the highest in the world for sun related cancers. All students should have a hat and they should be clearly labelled with their name. Students are only able to play in an outside area with a hat on. If students do not have a broad brim school hat on, they must be in an undercover area – eg. the COLA. Students have again been reminded of this and we seek your support of this very important school rule.

CWA Country of Study Presentation On Monday ladies from the Country Women’s Association presented prizes for this year’s country of study competition. Congratulations
