Conditional Sentence Type III

Meaning of the “if clause” : untrue in the past (past unreal)

Verb form in the “if clause” : past perfect tense

Verb form in the “result clause” : past future perfect tense

Fact : past tense

Example : 1. They had lived in that house for

Past Future Perfect Tense1.Nominal Form

S + would / should + have + been + complement
