Insulating OilCondition Monitoring Services
MNR - AVL
FullTech was established in 2009. Lab Services Department has been created in 2018, as a new stage in the implementation of the company's long-term strategic plan to
provide continuous EPCOM services to previous and new clients.
We Provide comprehensive and integrated framework services for oil and gas industries, power plants, cement and steel, other industrial fields, environmental,
agriculture, food and Pharmaceutical sectors throughout Iraq and Kurdistan, and so far it has been offered to various international clients.
professional staff, specialized technical knowledge, advanced equipment, international testing methods, integrated quality management and executive resume in
providing services to many international companies in Iraq are among the key capabilities of this department..
These factors have led to the registration of Lab Services Department in the Approved Vendor List (AVL) of the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) of Iraqi Kurdistan. It
has also succeeded in receiving the certificates of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, which lab testing services covered by the scope of activities.

Transformer oil holds critical information on the condition of the transformer from thermal and
electrical faults to contamination and degradation of the oil which can reduce the life of a
transformer. Transformer oil analysis provides a highly accurate indication of the internal condition
of a transformer. Diagnostics tests, including oil quality, dissolved gas analysis and furfuraldehyde
levels, offer insights into abnormal electrical or thermal activity and other effects of transformer
aging, including the condition of paper insulation – the primary indicator of potential transformer
failure. Information on the condition of the transformer and where it is in its lifecycle, allows for cost-
effective and efficient maintenance planning, refurbishment and replacement.
Assessing the internal condition of oil-filled transformers to improve reliability and assist in
determining appropriate asset management decisions
FullTech provide High and Medium Voltage component sampling, Analysis and advisory services.

Trend Analysis
• Oil condition monitoring should be an ongoing process and not a one off spot check. Spot checks will not pick up trends. The frequency of oil analysis sampling with be determined by many factors which our experts can explain to you.
• Regular monitoring schedule –Monthly/Quarterly/Half Yearly/Annually
• Emergency monitoring schedule –Immediate/Urgent.
• availability of all historical data
• Trend analysis and equipment condition assessment
Conducing a service can:
• Early Warning of Incipient Faults
• Minimise failure and/or downtime of critical equipment
• Minimise unscheduled outage by allowing planned maintenance schedules to be put in place
• Increase equipment efficiency and extend equipment life
• Remaining lifetime assessment
• Oil monitoring can maximise lubricant use through extended drain intervals
• It will monitor oil condition and rate of degradation. This can sometimes show other related problems. e.g. working environment.
• Oil analysis can give you peace of mind, there is no guess work on how th oil is performing or when it needs to be changed.
• This can prevent machine breakdown or failure

How We Do
The Analysis?
14FullTech – Insulating Oil Condition Monitoring Service
15
Oil SamplingA good analysis starts with a correctly taken sample, which is precision work.
Live Tank Oil Sampling (LTOS) is the first step of sampling after enough drain.
External contamination, air, moisture or other substances, or even sweat from
your hands can distort the analysis results. sampling is done according to our
procedures based on ASTM standards. Of course it is also possible that the
client takes his own samples. However, this has to be done strictly according
to the FullTech requirements.

We use LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) to manage and
save historical data Interpretation of the results according to the ASTM
D4378 and other limits upon receipt of the laboratory results our experts
examine and compare them with earlier results from the same equipment,
and then send a report indicating the condition of the oil and the
corresponding component. If the the results indicate irregular behaviour or
incipient faults the operational management will be informed as soon as
possible.

ResultsAssets are reported to have one of four ratings
PASS
Satisfactory oil condition, which
enables an extended maintenance
interval to be adopted and the unit
should be resampled in five years.
RETEST
Evidence of some oil degradation,
the unit should be retested in 30-
36 months (half PF interval for oil
degradation).
MAINTAIN
Indicates very poor oil quality, unit
should be maintained within
6months.
ACTION
Extremely poor oil quality
indicating the unit is prone to a
catastrophic failure in the short
term and the client will be advised
accordingly. With typically over
90% of assets gaining a pass
grade, it is clear that Live Tank Oil
Sampling can result in a
significant reduction in
unnecessary inspections and
maintenance and substantial
savings on maintenance budgets
