Film Magazine

Each magazine has either the main character or the actor on the front cover.

Every magazine has a house style which runs through the whole magazine.

There are various target audiences for magazines these are normally based on the context of the words, the image used and the colours used in the magazine.

Most of the images used are mid shots of the model.

The prices of the magazines are similar.

Many of the models featured on the magazine are covering parts of the masthead.

All feature a bar code on the front cover.

Film Poster

Dark colours are mainly used to go with the horror genre.

Many of the posters feature either the antagonist of the protagonist.

Many never reveal the antagonist identity.

Horror fonts are used to reinforce the genre which is horror.

Institutional logos are always present on the film poster.

The date and credits are always present on the movie poster.

Mainly use low angled shots to show the antagonist in a superior position.

The images used have been edited using effects and some of the images are manipulated.

Low key lighting is always used.

Trailer Analysis

Uses fast tempo sound, along with high pitched sounds.

Always uses an establishing shot, in the beginning.

Never reveals the protagonist identity.

Never shows the actual killing scene.

Sometimes uses a cliff hanger at the end of the trailer.

Intertitles are always used.

Credits of the film are shown at the end of the trailer.

Uses horror typefaces to reinforce the genre of the film.

Does not reveal the plot of the trailer.

Is in non linear format.
