ABOUT THE CONDUCTOR

Walter Beeler, conductor, arranger, author, ajudicator

who has conducted the Ithaca College Symphonic Band since

1935 has been guest conductor of clinic bands throughout

Northeastern U. S., is a member of the American Band-

masters Association and chairman of the Editorial Board,

Band Guild of America .

He has written many articles for music magazines and

has had several instrumental methods and stud ies· along

with an ever increasing amount of band arrangements pub-

lished which have received wide acclaim.

ABOUT THE BAND

The band personnel is made up of 56 of the finest

musicians in the School of Music who are studying to be

music teachers . Membership in the organization is earned

on a competitive basis.

The group tours annually throughout New York State

and the seaboard playing in high schools and colleges, and

has earned a reputation of being one of the finest college

bands in the country.
