WHAT IS „IODINE WATER SPA SISCIA“?

It is Spa Rehabillitation Centre which activities will be based on the use of thermal iodine water as a natural resource,for providing medical services, scientific research works, and for pharmaceutical, sports and recreational purposes.

IDEA

• to put the thermal iodine water into operation for permanent use as a unique natural resource for health, pharmaceutical, scientific, sports and recreational purposes



GOALS AND PROCESS• to provide a material basis for a long-term use of the resource (thermal

iodine water as unique natural resource) through features such as spa, health facilities, geriatrics, wellnes, scientific institute, sports facilities, recreation, etc.

• continuous application of thermal iodine water on scientific basis in the field of medicine, pharmacy and sports

• to reach the highest level of a respectable European health centre for balneology, endocrinology, respiratory and loco-motor diseases,to become a reference center for medical facility



• 1928. geothermal iodine water was discovered, with temperature of 52,6O C at spring and its average iodine content of 25,3 mg/l it is one of the strongest springs of thermal iodine water in Europe, and in terms of thermeability one of the warmest in the world

• 1932. Sisak thermal iodine bath was founded, at that time the best equipped public baths in Europe, heavily damaged in 2. World War

• until 1935. Sisačka mineralna voda (Sisak Mineral Water) with addition of CO2 was bottled and sell

• 1951. first therapy with iodine mud; iodine production for industrial and medical purposes

• since 1980. inhalation therapies; 1991. the use of iodine ceased to exist

• a medical draft study on the application of thermal iodine water has been written

• the market at a national level was analyzed• professional inspection of geothermal zones has been carried out,

micro-locations for two wells selected and the preparation of geothermal study for research works started

• methodology of the concession procedure was defined at the Ministry of Agriculture and concession process launched

• the land for geothermal wells purchased ( 13.500 sq.m. )• a new company (NEO SEGESTA GRUPA d.o.o.) has been founded• a business plan with economic and financial analysis prepared • the concept of developmental projects based on iodine water

established• a written support for the Project has been received from Sisak Town

Hall

climate SPA-s’’ – HEALTH SPA TOURISM (islands Mali, Veli Lošinj )
