Abstract

This article aims to proposean adaptivestrategyfor Thai Fruits transportation modeto be able to cope with the

fluctuation of economics and socializationin Thailand. This research presents a conceptual development for Decision

Support System (DSS) of Thai Fruits transportation mode. A new model with the application of Cold Chain

Management, which will be integrated to the Quality Control (QC) of the fruitsand mode of transportations is proposed.

The process also includes a postharvest movement to the export of fruits to foreigner customers in other

countries. Also, the system presentsthe damages which could be incurred during the transportation in each modes, i.e.

Road, Seafrieght, Railway and Airfreight. The conceptual focuses on forecasting method to predict the damage

caused by the chosen activity in the process and each mode of transportation. The Decision Support System will be

used tosuggest the optimal reasonable mode of transportation for clients in each country to determine the possibilities

of outcome from various parameters, for example, farmers, exporters, appropriate age to harvest, transportation costs,

fees, and the rate of loss that is expected to occur. Also, The exporter will be able to compete in the market with lower

cost of transportation and the effective mode of transportation will enhance the market extension to the higher

purchasing power customers in other countries.
