Computer Laboratory Policies and Guidelines

1. Personal belongings such as back packs, bags (of a reasonablesize) may be brought inside the computer laboratory. Forconvenience, big bags must be placed on the shelves designated

for that purpose.

2. tudents are encouraged to be on guard !ith their valuables (i.e.cell phone, !allet, and other electronic devices). "he #nformation "echnology ervices $%ce !ill not be held liable for the loss ordamage of any personal property of laboratory users.

&. tudents must stay at the terminals assigned to them by thelaboratory assistant on duty. !apping of tag numbers is notallo!ed. 'oitering inside the lab is also prohibited.

. $nly one student should occupy one computer terminal.. #n case of group !ork, the laboratory assistant may allo! a

ma*imum of t!o students to occupy a single terminal.+.

o one is allo!ed to alter the setting con-guration of anycomputer laboratory facility !ithout proper authorization from the#nformation "echnology ervices $%ce.

. /0uipment and cables are to be moved by authorized personnelonly. sers are not allo!ed to attach personal hard!are orsoft!are in any of the computer laboratorys net!ork !ithoutpermission from the #nformation "echnology ervices $%ce.

3. 4ny malfunction or damage observed at the terminals assignedmust be immediately reported to the laboratory assistant on duty.

5. 6he!ing gum, eating, drinking, smoking, and any form of vandalism are prohibited inside the computer laboratory.

17.8ames are not allo!ed inside the compute laboratory. "hisincludes computer9related games, card games and other gamesthat may disturb the operation of the laboratory.

11. 4ccessing P$:$8:4P;#6 sites is strictly prohibited.12.

6ellular phones must be in silent mode before entering anycomputer lab. ilence should al!ays be observed.1&.

4ny conduct or activity !hich disturbs the computer laboratorysenvironment is not allo!ed. 4nyone causing continual disturbance!ill be asked to leave the facility. #f the o<ense done is seriousenough, the laboratory assistant may call the =iscipline > ecurity$%ce for assistance.

1. Proper decorum must be observed inside computerlaboratories. ?earing of hats>caps and other body clothingaccessories that cause distractions to students are not allo!ed.
