I have 35 years of experience in the computer career field. My last position was Director of Information Technology for Traditions Senior Management, where I positioned the company to meet or exceed HIPAA/HITECH, PCI/DSS, and SOX requirements, and reduce technical support costs. Prior to Traditions I was employed by Stream International, providing technical support for Dell customers. I have several years of experience covering numerous assignments, including Aegon, Boeing Information Systems, General Telephone, University of Tampa, Technical College of Ohio, and many others. I am also sole proprietor of my own computer company. My career in computers began in the USAF. Air Force assignments included more than 16 years in computer systems operations, with 13 years supervisory and/or management experience as a Non-Commissioned Officer, including 3 years experience as Communications-Computer Systems Operations Manager, and approximately 5 years of project management experience. I have been assigned a considerable number of additional duties, furthering my (formal) training opportunities, which honed and enhanced my talents in many of the ancillary areas pertaining to administration, supervision, and management. My post USAF career emphasis was to civilianize my skills, accepting positions such as MIS Developer (responsible for purchasing a half million dollar computer system), Computer Security Specialist, and Support Technician doing everything from network cable fabrication and installation to system set- up, configuration, from board-level trouble shooting of individual computers to trouble shooting entire integrated network systems, progressing through positions of Dell Server Technical Support, leading to my highest position of Director of Information Technology. My background is immensely diversified, providing me with skills to fill numerous positions, encompassing virtually any computer operations position, as well as application programming, system maintenance, systems analysis, and customer support functions. Working within a team environment, and managing groups and group dynamics has always been just one part of virtually every job. In several of the positions I've filled, ensuring continuity of computer access and integrity of data was a primary responsibility. As well, verifying compliance, determining priorities and allocating resources were all just facets of the job.

Dear Sir or Ma’am;

I am looking to advance my career, looking for a full time permanent position as a senior manager in the area of information technology, similar to my most recent position as Director of Information Technology.

My post USAF career emphasis was to civilianize my skills, accepting positions such as MIS Developer (responsible for purchasing a half million dollar computer system), Computer Security Specialist, and Support Technician doing everything from network cable fabrication and installation to system set-up, configuration, from board-level trouble shooting of individual computers to trouble shooting entire integrated network systems, progressing through positions of Dell Server Technical Support, leading to my highest position of Director of Information Technology.

Currently I hold an associate degree in Information Systems Management, and completed courses for: CCNA, CCNA+Security, CCNA+VOIP, PMP, and MS Project.

Understanding computers and the way they work is second nature for me, and I have excelled in working with them. You will not find a more competent nor dedicated computer professional!

I would appreciate the opportunity to interview with your company.

May the future be mutually beneficial.

Sincerely,

JAMES L REYNAL
