Objective n°1Context: Mr Bean’s daily routine.Estimated time: 60 minutes.Aids: computers, headphones, bb.

Activity nº 1Lead-in

T leads the ss to the computer lab. She tells the ss they are going to watch a video on Youtube about Mr Bean. T asks the ss if they know him, what he does, what kind of person he is, etc. T elicits ss’ ideas and introduces new language if necessary.

T tells the ss they are now going to watch a video about his daily routine on Youtube. T writes the following addess on the bb: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwmIDHm3kOk . T asks the ss to open the Search Engine and copy the addess. Once the web page is open, she tells the ss they are going to watch the video as many times as necessary and, in a Word document, write a list of the things Mr Bean does during his day. T checks comprehension of the task by asking one st to explain to the rest what they have to do. She tells the ss they have 20 minutes to complete the task. Ss work individually (or in pairs), meanwhile, T monitors. Once the ss have finished, T provides oral feedback in lockstep, eliciting ss’ answers.

activity and ss start working. Meanwhile, T monitors. Once all the ss have finished, T provides individual oral feedback by having a look at the ss’ work.

Possible problemSome ss may take longer to write the phrases and/or look for the pictures. In that case, T will guide them through the internet to complete the task.

Additional possibilityT copies the following address on the bb and asks the ss to copy it in the Search Bar:

http://www.mes-games.com/dailyroutines.php . T tells the ss it’s a game in which they have to listen to the phrase and shoot the correct picture within 5 seconds. T asks one st to explain to the rest what they have to do to check comprehension of the task. Ss start working individually. Meanwhile, T monitors. Once the ss have finished, T provides oral feedback on content and on form if necessary.
