CNC (Computer Numeric Controlled) machines use specific and complex language to control movement, which is generated from CAM software. The tools used to cut raw material, the speed they move, and the path of movement can be generated and verified in a CAM environment. The resulting CNC program is then transferred to the machines to manufacture the component. Our CAM course is suited for individuals who wish to gain an understanding of the software tool used extensively by CNC programmers to generate the code for machining. This course is ideal for those working in the manufacturing trade who are seeking to expand their knowledge and those seeking entry into the machin- ing field. MTS certifications are equivalent to AMSE Y14.5 - 2009.
