• Some people define a computer addicted when obsessive use of a computer negatively impacts a person’s health, personal life, and professional life.

• Many parents feel that computer use is much healthier then television or video games. So the parents allow their children to use the computer excessively.

• There have been a few cases of people dying as the result of extreme computer addiction. An example of a case:– One man dies after playing a computer game for

86 hours without sleep or food.

• There are some rare incidents, but they are becoming a problem among children.

• When adults become addicted to computer use it can lead to less time spent with the family. It has also been a proven cause for divorce.
