18. Whether separate application of interlinked project has been submitted Not Applicable

19. If yes, date of submission Not Applicable 20. If no, reason Not Applicable 21. Whether the proposal involves approval/

clearance under: The Forest (Conservation) Act,

1980 The Wildlife (Protection)

Act,1972 The CRZ Notification, 2011

Wildlife (Protection) Act does not apply. The proposed project attracts the CRZ Notification, 2011 in respect of development of the port and its infrastructure such as berths, breakwaters, operational buildings, conveyors, cargo handling systems, staging harbour, approach trestle with carriage way for vehicular movement, conveyer system, railway track and other service lines etc. HTL/LTL and CRZ Survey for the project was carried out by Anna University (MoEF Authorized agency). The proposed port layout superimposed on HTL/LTL map is given as Appendix D. The land proposed for port development is completely reclaimed land and doesn‟t involve any forest area. However, the land selected for Logistic Support Building complex is under Forest Land classification at village Nargol (Survey No. 97 & 98). Application to Forest Department is already submitted on April 28, 2015. Forest Application Proposal No. FP/GJ/IND/11386/2015

22. Whether there is any Government order/ policy relevant / related to the site?

In 1995, Government of Gujarat (GoG) announced Port Policy encouraging private partnership in development of new ports and integrating it with development of Industrial, Infrastructure and Power sectors. Subsequently in 2011, Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) has planned to develop a Greenfield Port Project along the coast of Gujarat in the Valsad District of Gujarat near Nargol Village adjacent to Umbergaon and invited bids for Public Private Partnership model (BOOT basis). In this regard, Nargol Port Private Limited (NPPL) successfully got the concession agreement for developing an Industrial Port in Nargol on BOOT basis.
