QAC MEETING for the month of June 2018
ACTION TAKEN REPORT
Mrs. Divya Uchil reported about Sakaala Training Program organized in association
with Joint Director of Collegiate Education.
Deans came up with list of activities to be reflected in the PBSA. After a thorough
discussion it was finalized.
NAAC coordinator Mr. Arun F Sequeira and IQAC coordinator Mrs. Shashikala
Shetty presented various formats of IQAC which are restructured. After the
discussion they were finalized. Principal said that in future these formats will be
sent in soft copy to IQAC by the departments and associations.
NAAC coordinator Mr. Arun F Sequeira and IQAC coordinator Mrs. Shashikala
Shetty said that new minute book/ record book 2018 should be maintained in the
suggested format from this year for which all agreed.
Principal entrusted the responsibility of organizing FDP to IQAC coordinator Mrs.
Shashikala Shetty on 22nd June 2018. She accepted it.
Principal said that all departments and associations should conduct their own
meetings to prepare Annual Plan of Action and submit them to the IQAC for review.
Principal said that as per the instructions received from the Secretary, NAAC
seminar will be held on 28th July 2018 for the entire SDM institution and hence
directed NAAC coordinator Mr. Arun F. Sequiera to coordinate the same.
Dr. Muralidhar Rao Coordinator of QAC said that Checklist given by IQAC to be
followed for all the programmes for which all agreed.
NAAC coordinator Mr. Arun F Sequeira pointed out that Quality improvement to be
one of the agenda in all the meetings.
Principal said that all the activities carried out by the department and association
should go with the Vision and Mission of the college.
The various Committees and committee’s in-charge were made by Principal and
IQAC coordinators.
Best practices for the academic year are listed.
Formation of new Bio data format for first year students which will be passed
on to the subsequent class advisors.
Creation of USERID for NAAC 2022 for all individual faculty and students.
Formation of lesson plan format.
Formation of committee Handbook.
Maintenance of EC/CC marks participation records in the college calendar.
Skill enhancement activities participated by the student should be recorded
in the calendar and affix the signature of class advisor for evaluation of EC/CC
marks.
Proposal to evaluate the class performance of the teachers by Deans.
QAC MEETING for the month of July 2018
ACTION TAKEN REPORT
Mr. Thilak Raj Coordinator PBSA said that the points to be evaluated in the PBSA
has been finalized and mailed to the management.
Dr. Muralidhar Rao, short term course coordinator said that all the teachers started
the short term course classes based on the guidelines given.
IQAC Coordinator, Mrs. Shashikala Shetty said that the new formats for
documenting information about various activities have been sent to all.
IQAC Coordinator, Mrs. Shashikala Shetty said that IQAC organized FDP for faculties
on 22nd July 2018 successfully.
IQAC Coordinator, Mrs. Shashikala Shetty said that department and association have
prepared annual plan of action mentioning all the activities carried out by them in
accordance with the Vision and Mission of the college.
FDP programmed is conducted inviting external member, Clement D’Souza Vice
Principal, St. Joseph Autonomous College, Bangalore
Aspects to be considered in PBSA was presented by the principal which was agreed
upon by all.
Mrs. Shashikala Shetty Coordinator of IQAC said that IQAC along with Student
council organized a half day training programme for members of student council on
10-07-2018 in the college auditorium at 1.00 pm. By inviting Mr. Joselyn T Lobo,
Associate Professor, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru. The objective
of this programme was to acquaint the students with requite knowledge on
leadership qualities, as council members have the responsibility to assume
leadership roles.
Mrs. Divya Uchil, Dean BCA said that BCA department organized FDP on 19-07-2018 by inviting Mr. Clement D Souza, M.A., M.Phil [Specialized in econometrics and quantitative economics] Vice Principal, & Assoc. Professor on the topic “Animation of curricular and co-curricular activities and sharing of best practices”.
Suggestions received from External IQAC members are
1. Benchmark the institution by comparing with other standard performing
institution and study their practice.
Chose very eminent institutions.
Peer bench marking – Choose those institutions similar to you.
SWOC of other departments in the own institution.
2. Localize the best practice according to requirement and resources.
3. Plan and research to reduce the gap between goals and practice.
4. Promote professional organization development - through sharing the
inputs got by faculties deputed for programme.
5. IQAC members can visit the department to ensure the programmes
chalked out are based on department vision and mission.
6. Internationalize the institution by collecting NRI data and follow up
through them to popularize the institution.
7. Gather information from old students about skill requirements.
8. Add new developments to the subject in the curriculum of every subject.
9. Teaching evaluations to be done by HOD’s and their own suggestions can
be asked for improvement.
10. Formulate aims and objectives of learning a subject.
11. 120 hour of short term course can be developed to which may be
considered by foreign institution as 4th year degree.
Principal said that institutional plan of action and plan of action of student council
has been presented to the management when staff coordinator and office barriers
of the student council along with principal visited Dharmasthala. Reverend
President Dr. D. Veerendra Heggadeji has appreciated it and suggested that efforts
to be made to create general awareness among the student about current topic.
Principal said all the Dean should take initiative to conduct student presentation on
emerging areas in various subjects. Deans agreed to do so.
Principal said that all the department heads and association in-charges should
conduct their meeting and prepare their monthly plan of action for the month of
August and evaluation of the activities for the month of June & July 2018-19 and
submit the same to IQAC.

ACTION TAKEN REPORT

which has been finalized by the management.
IQAC coordinator Mrs. Shashikala Shetty & Student council in-charge Mrs. Smitha
gave the report about the Leadership training programme conducted for council
members.
Mrs. Divya Uchil, Dean BCA briefed about the FDP organized from BCA department Principal Mrs. Aruna P. Kamath shared the suggestions given by the external IQAC
members to the faculty members.

Principal reminded that the Dean should take initiative to conduct student
presentation on emerging areas in various subjects. Deans agreed to do so.
IQAC coordinator Mrs. Shashikala Shetty reported that all the department heads and
association in-charges submitted their monthly plan of action for the month of
August and evaluation of the activities for the month of June & July 2018-19.
Principal presented out the semester results of all the courses. She pointed out the
subjects in which the results are low and instructed the deans to take up
appropriate measure by addressing the faculties.
Evaluation of activities of July and plan of action of August plan of action is
presented by the department heads and association in-charge.
Principal said that as per the decision of IQAC external members and students are nominated for IQAC.
Mr. Arun Sequeira, NAAC Coordinator said that Faculties deputed for External
Programmes should establish contacts so that we are able to get resource person.
Principal also added that such participants should also give feedback about the
programme and the benefits the institution got through the program. The members
felt it is better to have a feedback form filled by the faculties who represent the
college in external programmes. Principal entrusted the responsibility of preparing
this format to Mrs. Shashikala Shetty, IQAC Coordinator.
Mrs. Shashikala Shetty, IQAC Coordinator said that all the reports of the program
conducted along with the photos should be promptly sent for publication in IQAC
bulletin Sync Vision for which the member agreed.
Principal pointed out the need for following the check list given while conducting all
the program for which the members agreed.
Mr. Arun Sequeira, NAAC Coordinator requested the principal to finalize the names
of faculty members who will be participating in the NAAC seminar organized at
Ujire on 4th August 2018. After a discussion with the members the names where
finalized by principal.
While congratulating the effort made by the staffs, External members present gave
the following suggestions
- Five year plan of action need to be prepared
- Review mechanism to assess the quality of programmes conducted.
- Offer faculty staff exchange programme.

ACTION TAKEN REPORT
Deans instructed faculties to make a strategies for the improving semester results
of all the courses.
IQAC coordinator Mrs. Shashikala Shetty reported that Evaluation of activities of
July and plan of action of August plan of action received.
IQAC coordinator documented the suggestion given by the external members of IQAC
Mrs. Shashikala Shetty, IQAC Coordinator prepared the format and circulated among
the faculties to give the feedback about the programme and the benefits the
institution got through the program.
Check list is prepared and circulated so that all the faculties to follow the same
while conducting all program.
NAAC read the names of faculty members who will be participating in the NAAC
seminar organized at Ujire on 4th August 2018.
Principal said that the External members suggestionsto be considered for the next
planning.

Teachers Day celebration was discussed by student council in-charge Mrs. Smitha
and it will be on 5thSpetember 2018.
All the faculties presented the report of the conferences attended by them and
submitted the format to MR. Muraidhar Rao.
Faculty Development Programe to be organized for the faculties to help the
distressed students.
Principal as a resource person conducted FDP programme for the faculites about
the choice Based System which will introduced by the Mangalore Univesity in the
future.
QAC MEETING for the month of November 2018
ACTION TAKEN REPORT
Principal said that deans should ensure that all departments and associations
conduct activity related to Gandhiji’s Idiology in view of the decision of management
to have a year-long celebration of Mahathma Gandhiji birthday for which all the
deans agreed.
Principal said that as a pioneering institute of Management College should take the
lead and help out in syllabus revision. All the deans agreed for this. Major
contribution about choice based new syllabus is done from out college.
QAC MEETING for the month of December 2018
ACTION TAKEN REPORT
Internal assessment marks was submitted to the university
EC/CC marks verified by Mrs. Jeevith staff in-charge for EC/CC marks along with
association coordinator and class advisors.
Mr. Murlaidhar Rao, vice principal reported about smooth conducting of university
examination 2018. He said care was taken while handling university question
papers and all the answer scripts were send to the university.
Subject Allotment was done all affixed their signature for the same

20th December 2018 is last date for submission of STC marks
NSS officer briefed about the conducting of NSS camp from 22nd December 2018 to
28th December 2018
Guides were allotted for students to conduct Final year BBA projects and to meet
respective guides on 3rd December 2018.
QAC MEETING for the month of January 2019
ACTION TAKEN REPORT
Faculties kept ready the various documents to be presented for PBSA.
The department heads and association in-charges should conducted their meeting
and prepare their monthly plan of action for the month of January 2019 and submit
the same to IQAC.
All the staff members to keep ready the details about conference Attended.
Mr. Muralidhar said all the faculties submitted the details of short term Courses
conducted and to provide some new short term course detail if any to be added in
the future.
Faculties submitted the PBSA to Mr. Thilak Raj, staff in-charge of PBSA which is to
be send to the management by using all the guidelines given.
Mr. Muralidhar Rao, Vice principal said that plan of action format will be received
by the head of various departments & association and meetings should be done to
fill the same.
BCA Results which was delayed which was the university mistake. The matter was
discussed.
Students who have not yet attended the class so foar need to get the parents before
attending the classes
Faculty in-charges of Student council and Rovers and Rangers explained the
arrangements made for vivikotsava to be carried on 31st January 2019.

QAC MEETING for the month of February 2019
ACTION TAKEN REPORT
QAC coordinator Mrs. Shashikala Shetty reported thatplan of actionfor the month of
March and evaluation for the month of February 2019 has been received.
Dr. Muralidhar Rao, Research cell coordinator, reported that Minor research reports
have been submitted by most of the faculties.
Deans of various department proposed the names to be considered for the best
outgoing award. After the thorough discussion, the names were finalized.
QAC MEETING for the month of March 2019
ACTION TAKEN REPORT
Dr. Muralidhar Rao, Co-ordinator of research committee reported that 30 faculties
have submitted the minor research projects.
Dr. Muralidhar Rao, Co-ordinator of the short-term courses said that 28 short term
courses were completed.
Mr. Arun F Sequeira, NAAC Co-ordinator pointed out that all the faculties should
give list of students who should be considered for re-admission to the class advisor
for which all agreed.
Mrs. Gayathri K, Dean of BA(HRD) department said that as per the guideline given
by IQAC, extension activities are carried out by all the department and the reports
of these activities are available in the department.
Mrs. Shashikala Shetty, Co-ordinator of IQAC said out that the papers published by
all the faculties can be uploaded to the Library website.
It was decided that a minor research project by the faculty will be maintained in the
library as done every year.
It was resolved to distribute certificates to the students for short term courses.
It was decided by the house to conduct re-admission in the first week of April.
Reports of the extension activity will be available in the monthly report and
quarterly magazine ‘Sync Vision’.
It was resolved to entrust Mrs. MuralidharHegde, Librarian with the work of
uploading papers presented by the faculty to D-Space in the Library website.
The meeting was concluded with the vote of thanks by Principal in which she
thanked all the IQAC members for planning and executing all the activities in
accordance with the vision and mission of the institution.
QAC MEETING for the month of April 2019
ACTION TAKEN REPORT
Dr. Muralidhar Rao, Coordinator of the research cell reported that student Minor
research project guided by the faculty have been submitted to the library as done
every year.
Dr. Muralidhar Rao, Coordinator of Short-Term Courses reported that Class advisors
distributedthe short-term course certificates to the students.
Deans of all the department reported that Class advisor have conducted re-
admission to students
Mrs. Jeevitha, Coordinator of editorial committee reported that college Magazine
work is in progress.
Mr.Arun F. Sequira, NAAC Coordinator reported that the work of uploading papers
presented by the faculty to D-Space in the Library website is in progress.
QAC members who conducted Academic Auditpresented a brief report of their
observation which are recorded in the IQAC file.
Mrs. Manju and Mrs. Gayathri Deans of Commerce and HRD department made in
charge of admission committee by the Principal. As a PUC results are likely to be
announced during University examination she said that there is a need for
coordination between examination and admission committee to ensure that both
the work is done smoothly.
Coordinators of association presented their annual evaluation of their activities
which are recorded in the IQAC file.
Principal said that the outcome of the online feedback of the student on faculty is
made available to all the faculties and they should work on their weaker areas.
Mrs. DivyaUchil, Dean of BCA, said that College Website is being updated and is also
translated into Kannada as per the direction received from the Government.
The meeting was concluded with the vote of thanks by Principal in which she
thanked all the IQAC members for planning and executing all the activities in
accordance with the vision and mission of the institution.
QAC MEETING for the month of May 2019
ACTION TAKEN REPORT
Mrs. Divya, incharge of the College Website reported that the information asked
about the college to be incorporated in Society’s Website is being given as and
when asked.
Mr. ArunSequeira, NAAC Co-ordinator along with other IQAC Members distributed
the duties and responsibilities to various committees. It was unanimously
accepted in the meeting after a thorough discussion.
Dr. Muralidhar Rao, Vice Principal and the Deans finalized the class advisors for
various classes which was approved by all.
Mrs. Manju reported the progress made in the formation of college calendar.
Principal said that Calendar should be ready by second week of June 2019 for
which she agreed.
Mrs. Shashikala Shetty, IQAC Co-ordinator pointed out that the need for calling all
the Second and Final year students. Accordingly, it was decided that Parents along
with the students should meet previous class advisors on 17th or 18th June 2019
between 1.30p.m. to 3.03p.m.
