Course levels
Course level: Introductory
• Physicians should have a basic understanding of wires, catheters, balloons, and stents and should have been practicing interventions for a minimum of one year.
• These courses concentrate on iliac and femoral disease. The courses will use the full range of angioplasty and stenting techniques. They will focus on product selection and application of wires, sheaths, catheters, and stent placement techniques.
Course level: Intermediate
• Physicians should have a good understanding of wires, catheters, balloons, and stents and should have been practicing interventions for a minimum of two years.
• These courses focus on cases from iliac to infrapopliteal disease. Some chronic total occlusion cases will be included. The courses will use the full range of angioplasty and stenting techniques, along with CTO wire techniques and techniques with other devices.

Course level: Advanced
• Physicians should have an excellent understanding of wires, catheters, balloons, and stents and should have been practicing interventions for a minimum of three years.
• These courses will show leg therapy interventions ranging from iliac to infrapopliteal disease. The focus will be on the treatment of critical limb ischemia and CTO cases. The courses will use the full range of angioplasty and stenting devices, along with CTO wire techniques and techniques with other devices.

Course descriptionThis course is designed to help practicing interventionalists become more proficient in the latest DES technology available for the prevention and treatment of restenosis as well as in techniques for minimally invasive treatment of lower leg arterial disease.
Course objectivesAt the end of this course, attendees should understand:
• The broad patient selection criteria and the long-term patient benefits of Zilver® PTX® drug-eluting stents.
• Deployment and placement techniques for drug-eluting stent placement.
• The benefits of using a lower-profile Zilver 518® 5 Fr therapeutic device.
• How to identify the appropriate anatomy and how to prepare a case when using a lower-profile therapeutic device.
• How to optimize patient outcomes by using Zilver 518 5 Fr and larger therapeutic devices in a single treatment setting.

Course descriptionRetrograde tibiopedal access may be the last chance at limb salvage in very difficult cases. Through lectures and case observations, attendees will have a greater understanding of how the expanding use of ultrasound in tibiopedal access and device guidance under ultrasound can reduce radiation exposure.
