Notes: 1. All steel members were Grade S275, except that the tubular
section was Grade S355 2. Cube strength of concrete on the day of testing was 67MPa 3. Difference between the actual dimension of the UC and UB
sections and their standard dimension given in ‘Steel Building Design: Design Data, In accordance with Eurocodes and the UK National Annexes 2009’ (SCI ‘Blue Book’) is negligible
4. Hexagon head screw ISO 4017‐M20x90‐8.8, hexagon nut ISO4032‐M20‐10 and washer ISO7091‐20‐100HV were used
5. All bolt holes were 22mm diameter
