What is SHARP doing to ensure safety? We have enacted a comprehensive plan for our events that includes enhanced cleaning, line distancing, capacity restrictions, PPE is required by everyone, shields at point-of-sale locations, signage encouraging safety practices and a number of other things. Can I practice social distancing at the events? Our events will be held in open fresh air, there is plenty of space to spread out while you enjoy our event. We have signs around our events reminding people to stay 6’ apart and we will be monitoring social distancing. We ask everyone to remain mindful of our safety rules. Do I have to wear a mask? Everyone must wear a face mask or proper face covering while at our events. We will have face masks for purchase at our Sharp store for anyone in need of one. The following exceptions apply: Masks are not required while actively eating. Eating is only permitted while seated in designated spectator seating areas.

Participants are not required to wear masks when on the practice and performance floors, unless otherwise prohibited by state, local or venue guidance*. All Participants must wear masks while not practicing or performing.

*Should state, local or venue guidance require masks be worn by participants during practice and/or performance, the following guidelines should be adhered to:

Mask should fit snugly around and cover the nose/nostrils, mouth and chin, and with no large

gaps around the sides of the face.

Masks should be at least two layers, made of a soft/pliable and breathable fabric.

Face shields may be worn in addition to a mask but not as a substitute for a mask. Anyone without a face mask will not be allowed into the venue, and anyone that does not comply with the face mask requirement may be asked to leave the facility.

Face masks must be worn at all times. Can I use the restroom? Yes. Restrooms are open for limited use. We advise you to use the restroom before you come. If you must use the restroom you must wear a mask. Restroom facilities will have proper sanitation areas for frequent handwashing and be properly stocked with soap, paper towels, trash can by exit, etc.

Respiratory etiquette: Please use a tissue or the inside of your elbow when you cough and/or sneeze and discard of the tissue properly. Used tissues should be thrown in the trash and hands washed immediately with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol can be used.

SHARP STAFF: Will be educated on the COVID-19 Competition/Camp Rules, and complete additional SHARP training related to new competition/camp guidelines.

Will be trained on COVID-19 protocols in place and have name and contact info for designated COVID-19 point of contact for the competition/camp.

May give verbal instructions to competition/camp attendees throughout the day on social distancing requirements and/or other safety protocols.

Spotting/safety procedures should not be minimized due to social distancing.

Safety is our top priority for your competition/camp experience. We are deeply committed to the safety and well-being of our participants, coaches and spectators. We are prepared to administer a competition/camp that will meet the state and local guidelines related to COVID-19 at the time of the event. While the final details and schedule of any competition/camp could require up to the day adjustments, and all guidelines are subject to change based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”), federal, state and local guidance, please be assured that SHARP is committed to delivering the same quality of competition/camp experience for which we are known in length for. We appreciate your understanding of the flexibility this will require if needed.

Additional guidelines to adhere by: Anyone that develops symptoms while at competition/camp must immediately inform SHARP and comply with the procedure of removal from the competition/camp area. They must cooperate with SHARP and make a list of all persons whom they have been in close contact with (the CDC defines close contact as being within 6 feet of someone for 15 minutes or more in a 24-hour period), including in the 48-hour period before developing symptoms.

Anyone with pre-existing conditions/compromised immune system should speak with their doctor and get clearance from their doctor before attending the competition/camp.

Participants, Coaches, Spectators and SHARP Staff will monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 listed by the CDC, including cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell, and check their own temperature each morning, both 7 days prior to attending competition/camp and every morning before attending competition/camp. If the person displays any COVID-19 symptoms or a temperature of over 100° Fahrenheit, during the 7 days before competition/camp, they must remain home. If the person displays any COVID-19 symptoms or a temperature of over 100 Fahrenheit on any morning of competition/camp, they must remain home and report their symptoms and temperature to the appropriate competition/camp contact.

Anyone living with a house member who is currently sick, feels sick, or shows any symptoms of COVID-19 listed by the CDC, including cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell, has been diagnosed or presumed positive for COVID-19, or has been around someone who has been diagnosed or presumed positive for COVID-19, currently or within the last 14 days, must stay home.

Provide a copy of these rules to all participants/coaches/parents/spectators.
