Photo retrieved from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayer_filter
Filter - transparent or translucent optical elements that modify the quality of light passing through the lens to the image sensor or filmstrip during an exposure. The specific definition of filters varies depending on the type of filter.
MTT should know variety of Lighting Techniques
Key Lighting

Key lighting - (in photography or motion pictures) the main light that illuminates the subject being photographed or filmed
Fill Lighting

Fill light- a light used to eliminate or soften shadows caused by the main source of illumination
Backlight

Photo retrieved from http://bestdesignoptions.com/?p=386
Back light - a light source placed behind an actor, object, or scene to create a highlight that separates the subject from the background
MTT should know to use incident and reflected light
Photo retrieved from http://www.arcticworld.net/glossary.htmPhoto retrieved from http://www.ilovephotoblogs.com/9-photos-i-wish-i-had-taken
Incident light - light that strikes an object. The color of the object is based on how the light is absorbed or reflected by the object
Reflected light - Reflected light is created when light from a light source, such as the sun, reflects off an object before it strikes the subject to be photographed
Color temperatures and filters
Photo retrieved from http://www.soultravelmultimedia.com/2010/04/11/what-is-kelvin-temperature-and-how-can-photographers-make-it-work-for-them/

Color temperatures- Measure of color quality of source of light: expressed in Kelvin. * Color of light is correlated to the temperature of black body radiator when color of its radiation matches that of light being measured. * Warm or red colors are relatively 'cool' or are correlated to low color temperatures; cold or blue colors are correlated to high color temperatures
