For example, if the essay is comparing two different types of dogs, you shouldn’t just state that one has black spots. If you make such an argument, be sure to reference the other topic of comparison, and state, for example, that one dog has black spots, and the other dog has no spots, brown spots, etc. If you make sure to analyze certain aspects in both topics, you should be able to draw some sort of conclusion from your analysis.
