Best of Four is a recognized producer organisation and was founded in 2010, after a
merge of four grower organisations Tradition, Westveg, Unistar and Brassica. Best
of Four has 180 members, not only Dutch, but also Belgian growers of vegetables and
fruits. We sell and market our products to different customers in Holland, but also
beyond the Dutch’s borders. First of all our goal is to get the right prices for our
growers. Secondly to keep the selling costs for the growers as low as possible by a
short chain between grower and customer. Most of the handling of the products is
done by the grower.
Quality demands are very important, that’s why all the growers are minimal Global
Gap certified.

and vegetables. The main products are strawberries, tomatoes, peppers and
cucumbers. Hoogstraten® strawberries are the pride of the auction. Together with
the expansion of the glasshouse vegetables, Veiling Hoogstraten realised produce
sales of € 193 million and a total turnover of € 235 million in 2014. The greenhouse
vegetables are sold as Flandria®, and the strawberries under the Hoogstraten®

While the auction has a rich history, it is also a business, ready for the challenges of
the future. The constant quest for innovation and the willingness to conduct business
in a sustainable way are decisive factors in that respect. That innovation is tempered
