Hobart International Airport Apron Lighting

As principal contractor for this project, the major scope of works was to erect eight 32m flood lighting poles with lowering mechanisms along the domestic terminal apron at the Hobart Airport. As the airport was fully functional throughout the entire project, much of the work had to be completed at night to avoid disruptions to airline services.

TESTIMONIALS:

Hydro Tasmania

“RBD have again been nothing short of excellent on the Devils Gate project.” “Just wanted to pass on my sincere thanks to the great team you had down here at Gordon for the GO3 Secondary Systems Upgrade. I have to admit I had my doubts as to whether a project of this magnitude could be done in the timeframe we requested. Now we know. Due to the incredible professionalism, attention to detail, quality and technical expertise of your team it couldn’t have run smoother. It’s a testament to the individual personalities that they can work and live with each other on a continual basis, working long hours and still keep their sense of humour. I was driving the works pretty hard until I was sure it would be successful and am aware how hard I may have been to get along with. To their credit they adapted and overcame any shortness on my behalf.” “Just wanted to pass on some good feedback from one of our Safety Team members regarding the professionalism and attention to detail displayed by the guys carrying out the WIFI Access Point change outs currently happening in the Mersey Forth Area.”

Vos Construction “We wish to express our sincere thanks regarding the effort your company demonstrated in regard to the work carried out at the Rubicon Grove Redevelopment with our company. We appreciate that given the demanding requirements of this project, your company continued to provide the utmost effort and co-operation to meet the completion target. The end result being a project of high-quality standard that is a credit to all, and an example of what can be accomplished by a team of dedicated people. We again say thank you and hope that our past and current business relationship can continue to the mutual benefit of both parties.”

It is managed by RBD Electrical’s SHEQ Co-ordinator, who is highly knowledgeable of its content and systems. Based on the audit outcomes, I highly recommend RBD Electrical for any future work with TasNetworks, as it is one of the best IMS systems I have seen.” Hobart International Airport “Hobart Airport was very pleased with how RBD delivered the apron lighting project. This was a very complex project, delivered under some trying conditions, long nights and with very strict regulatory requirements. The airport would like to thank the whole project team, led by the project manager, for their outstanding efforts. ”
