About PHEPHE Pty Ltd (PHE) provides electrical and instrumentation operations support services to clients

throughout Australia including mining, hydro power generation, remote gas power generation plants,

pulp and paper manufacturing and timber processing industries.

Established in 1975, PHE has over 30 years of experience and expertise in the Installation and

termination of High Voltage, Low Voltage and communication installations.

We also design and construct Low Voltage distribution and motor control switchboards and provide

SCADA, PLC and DCS integration.

LV Cable Installations

All site cable supply and associated cable support and PVC conduit systems including cable pits

and underground cable ducts.

Instrumentation

PHE provides the installation, calibration, and loop testing of all instrumentation including air,

pressure, flow, level, temperature and analysers.

Distribution Switchboards

From our manufacturing facility in Gympie, PHE designs and manufactures fully type tested power

distribution switchboards up to 7000A with a 120kA rating. These Form 4b switchboards fully

comply with AS/NZ 3439.1 standard.

Motor Control Switchboards

Form 1 through to Form 4b Motor Control Switchboards can be designed and manufactured to the

individual requirements of our customers. We also manufacture all type of control panels,

marshalling boxes, local control stations, PLC panels and control desks etc.

HV Cable Installations

PHE provides the supply and termination of HV cabling up to 33kV including the supply and instal-

lation of transformers, and ring main units.

PHE provide electrical and instrumentation operations support services to clients throughout

Australia including mining, hydro power generation, remote gas power generation plants, pulp and

paper manufacturing and timber industries.

achieve this goal. PHE has a dedicated team striving for excellence in the delivery of our health, safety and

A guide to demonstrate our commitment to health and safety is the regular achievement of zero Lost Time

Injury (LTI) rate. This is due to our fully trained staff along with regular safety audits and daily risk

assessments. PHE provides continual training in the use of equipment and Personal Protective Equipment

(PPE) along with continual improvement to procedures to minimise potential incidents.

Our people and their safety are our primary responsibility and every effort is made to provide a

safe working environment on every site.

When Newcrest’s Cadia Valley Operations achieves nameplate capacity, the Cadia East Gold Mine will treat 27 million tonnes of ore per annum for a predicted output of around 800,000 ounces of gold. It will be the largest underground mine in Australia and one of the largest gold mines in the world. PHE has been involved as the major E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) contracting company for the site providing the installation and commissioning of the crushing and ore handling systems along with ancillary equipment. Our team of project managers, supervisors, HSEQ team, schedulers, leading hands and electricians have been the key to delivering a safe, on time and quality project to our customer Newcrest. The project was delivered with a zero LTI rate.

The project included installation of cable support systems, High Voltage Switchgear and Reticulation system, Low Voltage cabling, MCC installations and Fibre Optic cabling. The Cadia Valley is located approximately 25km from the city of Orange in NSW.

Pulp and Paper - Visy Tumut Kraft Mill Stage 2

PHE were engaged in the initial construction of the Visy Pulp and Paper Mill back in 2001 and the first class paper mill was placed into production.

This initial phase was so successful that a 2nd stage or duplication took place and PHE were once again engaged in the construction phase.

The project consisted of the cable reticulation support system, high voltage switchgear, high voltage motor ca-bling up to 5.2MW drives, low voltage cabling to 800 drives ranging up to 800kW, installation of MCC’s, transformers and plant wide earthing and lightning protection.

PHE now supplies up to 25 E&I Technicians and electricians on contract to Visy for the operational maintenance.

Power Generation - QGC Chinchilla Water Treatment Plant Power Station

Clarke Energy a leading supplier in Coal Seam Gas powered generators engaged PHE to provide the Electrical Installation of seven 3MW generator sets.

The project involved all Low Voltage cabling, 11kV terminations and hazardous areas installations. The project was completed for principal contractor Laing O’Rourke on the QGC Chinchilla Water Treatment Plant north of Tara in the Surat Basin of Queensland.
