LABACORP HISTORY
Labacorp Group is built around the strong and development vision of its founder, Mr. Bako
Ambianda. Founded in 2011, as an events company in the United States, with deep roots in the
arena of conferences, exhibitions, & trade missions.
Desire and motivated to launch a diversified group of companies to contribute in the development
of Africa, a holding company structure was formed in 2013, and the group systematically added
more businesses and focused its operations, leveraging the synergies that exist between its
operations in the conferences and exhibitions industry and its core economic operations in
manufacturing, construction, real estate, agribusiness.
Since switching to a holding company structure, it has demonstrated the ability to transform itself
and capitalize on opportunities in key economic sectors and has establishes a presence in Texas,
Dubai, Cameroon, & Nigeria. The dynamics of this growth is from strategic partnerships that
provides a solid foundation for the Group to continue its operations and expansion. So far,

Labacorp Group serves as the principal holding company for Bako Ambianda investments and
business ventures and 100% owned by Bako Ambianda. The holding company has different
management structure from its subsidiaries which has/open to shareholders.

LABACORP MEANING
The world "Labacorp" has a variety of significant:
It stands for (La Bako Corporation Group), which in full, it means Lawan Bako Corporation
Group, and the world "La" also means "The" which can also be refer to as The Bako
Corporation Group.
Bako Ambianda, the Founder, Chairman & CEO of Labacorp Group, named the company after
his father Lawan Bako, to honor his meritorious records of economic works in Cameroon. In
1975, Bochong El Hadj Lawan Bako, C.O.M founded Est. El-Baso & Sons, a conglomerate
which was based and mainly operating in Cameroon and Nigeria with interests in the construction
and commodities sectors and shut down its doors in 1995. Under Est. El-Baso & Sons
chairmanship of Bochong Lawan Bako, he participated in the historic first Cameroon Trade &
Investment Mission to the United States in 1985 and the first ever mission trip from Central and
West Africa which was the United States overall plan to increase trade, investment, friendship,
and cultural/technological exchange between the U.S and Africa. The Mission trip was comprised
with Cameroonian ministers, government officials, business leaders and journalists and Bochong
Lawan Bako participated as a business man with interest in exporting wheat, rice, sugar, flour, and
corn and was the negotiator for the building of the first Hilton hotel in Cameroon, and has been
responsible for many development projects in Cameroon under his leadership in sectors critical to
Cameroon’s economic development.
With genuine desire to continue the long legacy of economic development, Bako Ambianda named
Labacorp Group after his father, Bochong El Hadj Lawan Bako, C.O.M.

As chairman of Labacorp, I see myself as a Global African Entrepreneur, who wants to build great
companies, willing to push forward to develop new concepts and engage in multiple aspects of
creating, launching and growing the Labacorp portfolio. Looking back on our past footsteps, I
strongly believe that each trial and error, as well as each achievement and triumph, has served as
a solid cornerstone upon which Labacorp now stands, and prepared for a greater march forward.
In Labacorp Group, we believe that when undertaking something with determination, nothing is
unattainable which is why we named our first subsidiary as Global Attain Advancement.
The determination and desire to move forward, to create value, and to live a long-term economic

development, and is the main condition for its durability and expansion across a variety of sectors
vital to Africa's development.
We took a leap forward to grow from an events company into a diversified group of companies
under a holding company structure, and we now keep a close watch on changing market trends to

planned targeted acquisitions as part of our group Africa expansion strategy. Labacorp Group has
