products.
Located in the historical district of Carrara (Italy) the company begunits activity in 1936 as white marble supplier, extracted from proprietary
quarries, and world-class stone importer.
Today Staminal Stone is a market driven company, organized, with its
strategic partners, around customers and markets.
What a stem cells will be?
Stem cells are, for our organism, an input: they grow and are transformed by a mysterious agent into specialized cells. They are precious because the are able to become. Under this point, the role of the Agent is essential.
What a stone can be?
A block of marble is, when just extracted from quarries, precious, inimitable and unique; however as a stem cell it needs someone who operates in transforming it in something more valuable. This is our vision about marble:

The link between Staminal Stone and the marble has ancient origins, indeed already in 1818, the Duchess of Massa Carrara, Maria Beatrice D'Este, recognized to it the right of quarrying this precious material on Betogli Mount.
Today Staminal Stone import an supplies about 50.000 tons of marble and extracts 20.000 tons of superior quality marble from own quarries located Carrara.
We pursue business in two fields:
A. Supply superior quality marble. Directly extracted from our quarries, we provide top materials like: Statuario, Statuarietto, Venatino Betogli, the clear veins Ordinario, Paonazzo and Bardiglio. In addition, our partners can provide other materials from all over the world.
B. General Contractor Activity. Stimulated by the founder’s passion for quality, over the time we worked hard to establish long – term relationship with partners operating in construction and Architecture industries.
Statuario
The finest marble, used since the Romans for its white/ivory and its crystal structure, which makes it perfect for sculptures.
Many sculptures of the Renaissance, such as Michelangelo's David and Pietà, were carved from this marble. For Michelangelo at least, Statuario marble was valued above all other stone.
Calacatta Manhattan
The name “Manhattan” comes from popularity gained in USA and Australia.
Arabescato Carrara
Suitable for inner and external use.
Biancospino
White with grey thin veins, suitable for interior or external.
Bardiglio
The Grey color and beautiful grain of Bardiglio is highly prized in architecture and art.
Venatino
Characterized by a white ore grey paste crossed by gray.
Paonazzo
Suitable for inner and external use, but its technical features make it best suitable for inner applicationsPaonazzo was used in the construction of Louvre Museum, Paris.
