ChemTreat has emphasized the consistent quality of our products since the company was founded in 1968. ChemTreat formalized these principles into a written quality program in 1988. This system supports our corporate mission of developing partnerships with our customers through providing outstanding customer service, high-quality products, and superior technical expertise. Our commitment to quality is based on total employee involvement in continuous improvement of the entire organization.
Building on this foundation, ChemTreat achieved recognition for the effectiveness of our quality system in 1994 by attaining ISO 9000 series certification at our manufacturing facilities located in Ashland, Virginia; Nederland, Texas; and Eldridge, Iowa; and for corporate functions supporting our operations. In October 2002, these certifications were upgraded to full ISO 9001 certification under the ISO 9001-2000 standard. We accomplished this upgrade over a year before the deadline and were in the first five percent of United States companies certified to the new standard.
We must also assist our customers in meeting their own objectives to minimize adverse
environmental impacts from their processes through employment of optimally effective
water treatment programs. To accomplish these goals, ChemTreat works in partnership
with customers to produce the most efficient water and energy management systems, not
only to optimize process effectiveness but also to conserve such resources as fuel, natural
waters, and materials of construction.

With the growing popularity of the megastores increasing bulk
purchasing contracts, a downward force is being exerted on
packaged food profit margins. This is forcing plants to put
more emphasis on production volume and strive to decrease
operating costs.
Our approach is based on a partnership contract with client
plants. It enables us to help reduce production costs in areas
previously thought to be outside the water treatment domain; processing less expensive
cans, solving line speed increases, and sterilizer maintenance issues.
With government regulatory requirements, plant management needs strict measures to
document compliance. ChemTreat stays abreast of government agency changes helping our
clients avoid expensive audit failures.
Today's consumer is increasingly more sensitive to container appearance. Blemishes, rust,
and flaws are serious concerns for producers. ChemTreat leads the water treatment field
with programs to maximize container appearance.
Water used to be one of the most inexpensive commodities and may be the most important
and highly-used necessity in any food processing plant. With today's ambitious
environmental regulatory changes, the cost of water has become a major topic. This is often
related to the discharge rather than just the cost of bringing water into the plant.
ChemTreat has been instrumental in helping many food processing facilities across the
country reduce water consumption through specific process changes and improvements.
