EIA/Scoping project completed
In November 2015 we completed an EIA/Scoping for the construction and operation of a service station for Ara Building & Construction in Aranos, Hardap region. Our EIA/Scoping report was approved and the client was granted an ECC (Environmental Clearance Certificate) to construct and operate the service station. For client confidentiality, contact details is available only upon request.
EIA/Specialist Project completed
For another client (Ministry of Environment and Tourism) we completed an EIA/socio-economic specialist study. The client needed to construct and operate a solid waste in the Mudumu Landscape, Zambezi region. We completed this EIA/socio-economic specialist study in November 2013 and client was granted an ECC (Environmental Clearance Certificate) immediately afterwards. For client confidentiality, contact details is available only upon request.
Coast Planning and Project
Management
We also completed a coastal
planning project for the NACOMA
Project under the Ministry of
Environment and Tourism. The
project required us to design and
develop an ICZM Trainer/Trainee
Manual, specifically for the
Namibian coast. This was followed
by a short course training using the
manual we developed. For

CLIMATE CHANGE
Livestock production is increasingly
becoming a challenge in the face of
environmental challenges. Soil erosion,
bush encroachment, degradation
and desertification are some of the
major environmental challenges to
livestock farmers.
Critically, the window of opportunity
for investment in livestock production
is restrained due to the potential
impacts of climate change in
minimizing viable options for livestock
production.
CLIMATE CHANGE
Therefore there is a need for
investment in technologies that
will enhance livestock
production in vulnerable regions
where natural and labor
resources are affected by the
disruption to livestock grazing
and browsing related to climate
change. As Environmental
Consultants and stakeholders we
are obliged to accelerate efforts
in expanding livestock
production capacity to maximize
yield.
RESPONSE TO CLIMATE
CHANGE
One of the response to climate change is through CRS (Climate Resilient Solutions).
We are involved with various stakeholder in an attempt to provide solutions to climate change through providing CRS.
We are busy engaging the Namibia Environmental Fund, Social Security Commision and other stakeholders to solicit funds for a pilot project on fodder production in Ompundja Constituency, Oshana region, Namibia.
CLIMATE SMART LIVESTOCK
FODDER PILOT PROJECT
We support efforts towards CRS. This pilot project will be based in a drought vulnerable area in Ompundja constituency, Oshana, region, Namibia and will aim at enhancing and optimizing livestock production by exploring alternative technologies as opposed to convention livestock farming. The project will use latest technological innovations to grow nutrient-rich fodder using hydroponic systems. Hydroponically grown plants grow up to 50% faster and produce higher yields of better quality.
CLIMATE SMART LIVESTOCK
FODDER
Hydroponic growing removes the
need for soil, eliminating need for
arable land; soil-borne diseases and
pests; weeds; and the use of
herbicides and pesticides, while
producing 10 times the amount of
fodder as opposed to traditional
farming. Hydroponic systems also
reduce water waste and the
amount of natural resources
needed to grow while allowing
complete control over climate,
nutrients and growing conditions.
Laboratory supplies and
scientific services
Apart from supplying
laboratory supplies, we
advise on best
international scientific
methods to determine
water physical/chemical
and biological parameters
that determine its chemistry
and quality for control and
monitoring purposes.
We are proud to
provide best
environmental
solutions based on
science.
Smart small tools
Our smart small tools project is a
collaboration between locally trained
artisans to design and manufacture
scientific equipment like the one in
these pictures using local materials.
Our aim is to reduce importation of
materials thereby reducing
transportation costs and carbon
emission.
