Instructor will advise

PF
PM
Applies NOSE DOWN (by reducing flight path angle until the pitch
attitude is below the horizon) and levels the wings until out of stall
Checks Auto Throttle and
Auto Pilot disengaged.
Monitors altitude and speed.
Performs any necessary callout.
Mesa Airlines E-175 Profiles Revision 8.0
Re-establish automation, AP and AT once aircraft is stabilized.
21
Caution: Engage the autopilot only when on aircraft is on altitude, climbing or descending, as applicable; on appropriate airspeed and is trimmed.
17 May 2019
STALL is called by the
pilot first noticing the
stall situation
Disengage AUTOPILOT
and AUTOTHROTTLE.
“STALL”Applies THRUST as required.
Accelerates the airplane to a safe speed (Green Dot).
Retracts speed brakes.
After recovery, return to the normal flight path.Consider aircraft altitude (MSA) in determining best
course of action following recovery.
A stall encountered below 1000' AFE will be
considered an automatic missed approach/go-around.
Reconfigures the airplane as necessary.
Refer to E-JET CFM, Chapter 4, PROCEDURES AND TECHNIQUES, Approach To Stall and Full Stall for complete details.
Approach Minimums Selection
DA will be used for this approach and APPR mode using GS will be used
Example: KIAH ILS 26R, all equipment is working:
Mesa Airlines E-175 Profiles Revision 8.0
(Normal ILS)
2217 May 2019
Approach Minimums Selection
MDA will be converted to a Derived Decision Altitude (DDA); LOC and FPA mode will be used from the FAF inbound:
Example: KGJT LDA DME 29 MDA 5400’ + 50’ = DDA 5450’
Mesa Airlines E-175 Profiles Revision 8.0
(LOC, LDA or BC (No GS)
2317 May 2019
Approach Minimums Selection
If VNAV minimums are available for the GPS approach, use the printed DA and use GP Mode for approach.
Example: KJFK RNAV (GPS) Y 31L
Mesa Airlines E-175 Profiles Revision 8.0
(GPS (VNAV Mins))
2417 May 2019
Approach Minimums Selection
LNAV only minimums, use LNAV and PTH for approach; the MDA altitude will be selected in the altitude selector. LNAV and FPA, using a DDA may also be used but is less desirable.
Example: KRNO RNAV (GPS) X 16L, (LPV minimums are not approved)
DA 5720’
Mesa Airlines E-175 Profiles Revision 8.0
Ref: Ops Spec C073 (c)(2)(b)(ii)
(GPS (No VNAV Mins))
2517 May 2019
Approach Minimums Selection
If there is only a MDA printed on the chart, look for the note or a published decent angle. If present, use the MDA as a DA in APPR mode using GP:
Example: KLGA VOR 4 DA 560’
Mesa Airlines E-175 Profiles Revision 8.0
(VOR (With Note))
2617 May 2019
Approach Minimums Selection
Example:MDA 540’ + 50’ = DDA 590’
Mesa Airlines E-175 Profiles Revision 8.0
MDA without a note or published descent angle, LNAV and PTH should be used:If LNAV and FPA mode is used, add 50 ft to the MDA and use it as a Derived Decision Altitude (DDA).
(VOR (Without Angle or Note))
2717 May 2019
