Community Strategic Plan 2033 Council adopted the Community Strategic Plan 2033 (Reviewed 2015) in February 2015 with an overall vision for: Community Update December 2015 The plan contains five strategic goals which outline the activities, delivery of services, projects, infrastructure and other Shire informing strategies to achieve priority outcomes for the community. This document provides an update on some of the key projects within each goal. Bushfire MitigationImplement bushfire mitigation programs for Shire managed land.

Augusta Retirement VillageImplement outcomes of business case for the Augusta Retirement Village and Undertake and EOI process with not-for-profit providers to develop and operate a retirement village in Augusta.

Wadandi TrackApply for funding to construct Wadandi Track South from Redgate Road to Calgardup Road and Complete extension of Wadandi Track from Gnarawarry Road to Witchcliffe and celebrate with an official opening.

Path PlanDesign path and trail upgrades identified in Path Plan.

Margaret River Perimeter RoadSupport the Royalties for Regions (R4R) funding application for construction of Margaret River Perimeter Road.

Tallinup Augusta AirportFinalise master plans for the Tallinup Augusta Airport and apply for Regional Airports Development Scheme (RADS) funding.

Biennial ElectionPartner with the Western Australian Electoral Commission to conduct the biennial election by postal voting and conduct election of Shire President and Deputy President and appointment of Councillors to committees.

Business Improvement StrategyDevelop an internal Business Improvement Strategy as identified in the Business Excellence Review.

Audit of Shire’s Financial ProcessesConduct internal Audit of Shire’s Financial Processes to include internal controls and risk management.
