Children’s Safety VillageChildren’s Safety Village

Since the Children’s Safety Village’s establishment in 1992, over 250,000 children have been instructed in Fire, Traffic, and Internet safety.

The Waterloo Regional Children’s Safety Village is an education centre specifically designed for students from grades one through six in the Waterloo region.

These officers work out of Police Headquarters and regularly liaise with and support the High School Resource Officers who work out of the Waterloo, Kitchener, and Cambridge Police Divisions.

Partners for Safe and Caring Partners for Safe and Caring SchoolsSchools

Partners for Safe and Caring Schools is a partnership comprised of representatives from: schools in the region, regional police services, and child, youth, and community agencies serving schools. We share the concern for the safety and care of all students. We provide support for member groups to deliver services that help create and maintain safe and caring schools.

We meet five times during the school year at Division 1, Kitchener Police Station, Frederick St., Kitchener.

Our purpose is to:Identify, share, and track information pertaining to creating and sustaining safe and caring environments AND be a resource for schools and member agencies.
