Community League Showcase 2015 Thanks to our Reception Display Sponsor: Oak Hills Community League PARTY ON THE HILL To learn more about this project: ROB AGOSTINIS [email protected] Our story The Party On The Hill started over two years ago. The Oak Hills Community League was a young community league looking for an event to engage the citizens of Carter Crest, Leger and beyond. It was decided to have it in September close to Community League Day. The premise was to provide musical entertainment, arts, food, community information resources, a kids zone and even a dog zone. We are very fortunate to have a perfect park – Robert Carter Park, for this event. The 2nd Annual Party On The Hill happened in Sept. 2014 and we had a great band. We showcased young Edmonton youth singing, lots of food kiosks provided by local business, face painting, a kids zone with a multitude of games and bouncy castles, dog area, the Edmonton Fire Department, a Psychic Tent and much more. The impact of the Party On The Hill is that it provides a fun and engaging event for a part of Terwillegar Riverbend that has never had any large event like this. Not only did it bring hundreds of families out for the day, it provided a hub for community connection and engagement. It also promotes and showcases local businesses, restaurants and even youth with their musical talents, and our dog area is always a big hit. Overall, it brought the community together and connected the community with their local businesses and food establishments. It also educated our community with all the resources provided. From the very first event in 2012, the attendance has grown from 350 to over 750. Plans for the 3th annual POTH (Sept. 13), is to expand its musical entertainment and food component. Good music keeps the party pumping Aendance has grown to over 750 over the last couple of years. Food plays a major role in this fesval
